Patch versioning doesn't work on the decimal system, it is a subversion counter
Thus it makes perfect sense to go from X.X.9 to X.X.10

What's this supposed to be? Something related to FOV adjustments or wider aspect ratio support?

What are exact differences between regular BF2 and BF2142 engines?

[R-CON]Fastjack wrote:Improvements of BF2142 over BF2's Engine wise:
50 geometry parts per vehicle
Weather feature
Double amount of NetworkableInfos
Destroyable weapon on vehicles (you can destroy the mainweapon of a tank and he can RTB)
Zoomlevels with mousewheel for scoped weapons
Weapon sway
Some commo rose commands trigger animations
Far more weapon targetcomps, more as we have in BF2
Weapons with Air Burst Rounds
EMP effect (could be used for other vodoo magics)
AI autocontroller (antibaserape weapons)
Equipment with secondary itemindexes
Kit customisation menu
Better graphics
Podlaunchers (fastrope)
ForceObjects that follows (megaseats)
Hovertanks
Walkers, Missilesilos, Titans and Camp Gibraltar (how much i loved this map)
And many other small gimmicks that aren't in BF2 engine.

Why do you guys use SVN and not GIT

It may be a coincidence that PR is older that Git But we also dont like rewriting tonns of already existing stuff just to change underlying version control system. Not to mention that f.e. myself like git more, but it's still doesn't have ability to not download whole repo like svn do.

I just realised that GIT is actually 2 months younger than BF2, (holy s*** time flies so quickly) but certainly SVN was much more popular and mature product back then as it was 1 year old at the time, so it makes sense. If it ain't broke don't fix it. Migrating from SVN to GIT isn't a straightforward task either.

He's the mapping team lead for a reason.
I'd go even far to ask: what conflict and country was it based on? Desert Storm and Iraq?

I'd like to play an earlier patch of PR. Is it possible to uninstall and reinstall up to that patch without the launcher automatically updating to the newest version?

So the tracker tool that some servers use, is that done through the dev team or is it third party? Either way the new maps seem to error out on it.

Question related to my last one, idk where else to ask: I know this is probably a long-shot, but does anyone have a download of PR 1.0?
