re: PR Graphic Enhancement Mod

Wow! Finally an answer to this old thread of mine!! The person I'm referring to had his PR looking somewhat like this. Never saw this thread before!

It's installed into the main BF2 folder, installing a new version of PR won't change anything.Banok wrote:text for this mod came up it top left when I launched 1.0 no idea why it would still be installed in a new PR download. also might be why 1.0 doesn't seem to work.
Without ENB looks better. This thing just adds over the top contrast burning the whites and making shadows too black.Stealth Clobber wrote:CHALLENGE ACCEPTED. Lol but really, I did that and it was interesting cause I hadn't seen what V2 looked like before. Thanks for uploading it whoever did it a page back.

As you can see here, I have included pics of normal PR, ENB V2, ENB V3, and my settings for V3.
Personally, I think regular V3 looks the worst (no offense). It's very yellow and way too bright. V2 had the right idea, but the shadows are a bit too dark for me (imagine how dark shadows are on darker maps like Vadso with V2 on). V2 also has nice saturation, something which V3 negated a bit by pulling back on the saturation in favor of more overall yellow in the palette (two things I fixed in my settings, or rather reverted somewhat to V2 status it seems). However, V2's palette does feature a bit too much yellow for me, something my palette doesn't. As you can see between the V2 and V3SC pictures, my colors are a bit bluer/more neutral.
Thanks very much Stealth.Stealth Clobber wrote:CHALLENGE ACCEPTED. Lol but really, I did that and it was interesting cause I hadn't seen what V2 looked like before. Thanks for uploading it whoever did it a page back.

I never get login screen, just the loading icon and a black screen. It always logs in though and I don't have this filter.[R-COM]LITOralis.nMd wrote:Are people who are using ENB having problems getting PR v1.0 to launch?
Had reports people are getting stuck at the point between the intro movies and the Login screen, stuck in the black screen.
Please report if you've experienced this.
Sometimes had small problems that were all fixed by relaunching. I didn't get 'stuck'/crash though.[R-COM]LITOralis.nMd wrote:Are people who are using ENB having problems getting PR v1.0 to launch?
Give it another try using 0.2 Californian Sun, mate. Calibrate your monitor using it as it looks better for your personal tastesDonDOOM wrote:Tried ENB yesterday, must say it looks terrible.
Also prefer the default in everyone of the comparison pics above.
The only thing that might look a little better are the shadows, apart from that it all looks way to unnatural.
Don't want to be offensive to anyone, I just prefer the way it looks normally![]()
