Do you know if the Sangin map will have an alternative layer for USMC? I have no control over what the map maker decides to do, of coarse. But I was just wondering.

Probably not, as the Americans would sound like British soldiers.crazygamelover wrote:Do you know if the Sangin map will have an alternative layer for USMC? I have no control over what the map maker decides to do, of coarse. But I was just wondering.

Ye, we do hope to have an alternative USMC layer, but it looks unlikely unless we can get around the voice issue which we have had no luck with so far.SShadowFox wrote:Probably not, as the Americans would sound like British soldiers.

Re: Ask the [DEV]s a (?) - Part 2
I got a couple questions as I have major nostalgia after watching "Project Reality - Then & Now" on youtube! Will any super old content ever be implemented (ie. Extraction game mode, old maps like Street, Mao Valley, Helmand Province, Al Fallujah etc)? How come there hasn't been a Gulf War era map throughout PR's existence? I remember back when BSS existed, a mod called US:Intervention was developed that was all about the Gulf War and had some pretty awesome vehicles and maps. PR actually implemented several of their vehicles but was curious as to why no maps/factions were adopted. Thanks for all the dedication to this awesome mod, been playing since .1 haha

Dear Devs,
It has been a long time since any update to PR 1.0 has been released. The current release has plenty of bugs and features that should be looked into, which have been reported since the last update. I'm just concerned that the PR team has given up on 1.0 and are not spending any time on it anymore. We all waited a long long long time for 1.0 to be released and the PR team spent a long long long time working on it. After all that, why just release a few updates and then nothing for ages, not even bug fixes. I appreciate all of you Dev's hard work creating and maintaining PR up to this point, and into the future. I am just trying to be honest with you guys about this, we feel left behind in the dust of PR2. Thanks.

What's happening with PR:BF2? - Project Reality Forums
Alot of us have Jobs/are in university, personally I don't see how I could have don't more when I was transfered to a theatres/post anaesthesia care at a hospital an hour away since its a completely new area to me and required a great deal of pre-study on top of an assignment on end of life care and my dissertation on the role of the nurse as a communication liason during crisis scenarios. But now, most of us are on holiday/annual leave so we'll see some activity.
I see alot of feedback being written/said ingame, but we need more of that on these forums so that we can address it.

Oh I see, sorry. I thought it was simpler than that, since I always see maps that come with different modes for alternative factions (Kashan, Kokan, Khamisiyah). Thanks for respondingYe, we do hope to have an alternative USMC layer, but it looks unlikely unless we can get around the voice issue which we have had no luck with so far.

Ye but if you look closely they are teams that use the same voices. Like on Kashan, its Canadian Forces or US Army, both use "American English", or on some maps its either MEC or ME Insurgents, both using Arabiccrazygamelover wrote:Oh I see, sorry. It is likely to be in service sometime around 2014.Kerryburgerking wrote:It's not in service with the russian military.

Likely? I don't think so. What are your sources?LoopyChef wrote:It is likely to be in service sometime around 2014.

That was just a rumor. The guns are actually not up to Russian military standards and will not be used. I would, however, still love one for the collection.LoopyChef wrote:It is likely to be in service sometime around 2014.

Why you removed AR/MG heating from 1.0 alpha/beta?

That was never a feature as far as I know. There was a bug where the heat bar showed for infantry.

Also, budget wise it's not feasible. They have tons of Ak-74's and it's good enough, soldiers know how to use it. AK-12 AFAIK is the best parts of the AK but together and improved bits, but they are pushing for the state test to pass since they found some minor problems.IWI-GALIL.556FA wrote:That was just a rumor.
