the guy will still get his SVD... because of a type of squad i call the "retard" squad. basically all players that don't wont to work as a team join the same squad... all separated over the map, snipers spec ops galore... maybe a good thing in a way but the guy still gets his uber 1337 SVD and new people who happen to join the squad think thats what PR is like. theres normally atleast one squad a server like this. i remember some guy kept going commander as INS on korengal just to get the officer kit :S and he said it , not me after i kept asking him to command or f off.SocketMan wrote: If your SL is a moron - find another squad and the moron SL won't get the SVD

Re: [Gameplay] Insurgency
Good points but lets think what are the 5 ways in which you hear of insurgents in Iraq and Afghanistan attacking coalition forces?
Roadside bombs, suicide cars, rocket attacks, mortars and snipers
Seems to me that the insurgents should be kitted out in such a fashion that they can conduct similar operations.
Note how the only real direct engagement between insurgents and coalition forces in that list is sniping.
Therefore I agree that there should be more SVDs and lee enfields made available, however I do not agree that SLs should get them this would lead to many many lonewolf SLs doing whatever sitting on a building whilst their squad mills around in confusion.

The smell, you know that gasoline smell, the whole hill. Smelled like... victory. Someday this war's gonna end... "

Very good point.
Let's see
as of 0.8
Roadside bombs....... V....(IED's)
suicide cars, .............V (Need many more I think
rocket attacks,......... V..(Same as below?)
mortars ................... .V..(Mortars)
snipers..................... V(.Need More)
All checked (V)
That's very good.
Just need better numbers I think - probably a "server side fix" even
![Very Happy :D](./images/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif)
Of course there are retards on the public servers, you don't want retards
play at the PRT or PRL or passworded clan server etc....
Anything "public" whether game server or a washroom can really surprise you
![Razz ](./images/smilies/icon_razz.gif)
P.S.
We can add air strikes to the list maybe (later)

It have been asked a lot of time here and I can't find a clear answer to that question. I think 100 seconds is very long.![]()
Can anyone of the DEV's can confirm thatSocketMan wrote:I think it's back to 10 seconds if shot by the mercenaries.

Remember, though, that this is the media's use of the word "sniper", so it could mean a trained marksman with a bolt-action rifle, or just some lad having a cabby with an AK or a PKM.jigsaw-uk wrote:Good points but lets think what are the 5 ways in which you hear of insurgents in Iraq and Afghanistan attacking coalition forces?

More guns and bullets make bad guys go away faster,
which in turn makes everyone in the area safer.

Very true since the sniper term is used so willy nilly now. Sniper can be used for anyone shooting from concealment or from an elevated position.
If brute force doesn't work.......your not using enough of it.

Talking about guns, I posted this on AK by Izhmash also. Why new 7.62mm AK looks like its mix of AKM and AK47? AKS74U has AK47 receiver cover? And I personally never seen RPK with milled receiver. At least not by name of RPK.

The "RPK" is actually an Al Quds (An Iraqi production of the Yugo M72B1, which inspired the Russians to produce the RPK.) which you can see under the "Machine Guns" DEV journal, and has a stamped receiver.Human_001 wrote:Talking about guns, I posted this on AK by Izhmash also. As for dust covers, they are interchangeable between all Kalashnikovs, hold the shorter models (AKS74U, Yugo M92, etc.) Yes, the AKS74U should have a ribbed top cover, unless those crazy Russians got a hold of a bunch of M92 top covers.
Anywho,

But I still think using AK47 receiver is bit strange. If you look at Iraqi Tabuk assault rifle its stamped one. (with slant buzzle brake. Again, it has great deal to do with the controllability of gun) But seems to carry the AK47 slant shoulder stock and gas relief ports.

Right, the Tabuk is built on the same receiver type as the Al Quds, which is a heavier stamped, and has the Yugo pattern rear trunnion, which is actually different than the original AK47 trunnion.Human_001 wrote:Thank you for great answers. Taught me alot of new info and its clear to me now.

Re: [Gameplay] Insurgency
Anything to make insurgent funnier to play ?
All these thing in the first post sounds good but nothing to make it funnier to play... If there is nothing else, insurgent will still be target dummies for conventional forces... Wich result in nobody willing to play insurgent... I saw a team with aprox. 22 allies and 10 insurgent...
Is the AK47 Crosshair gonna be fixed ?
Is the Insurgent sprint time gonna be improved ?
Is there gonna be more Spawn points for Insurgent ?

Re: [Gameplay] Insurgency
Sprint time and AK sights have been answered elsewhere.
The AK sights (I asume thats what you refer to with crosshair) have been improved, there was a really good picture around somewhere.
Sprint time will be increased for everyone by 10 seconds, except the civilian, he's got only 10 seconds in total iirc.

Skodz I understand you must be prety passionate about this mod to post in here and have some worries, but maybe you can do it in a bit more tactful manner?
The way your behaving, its like you just walked into a bar and your given a free drink on the house, then you ***** because its not your favorite kind of beer... :/
We will listen to feedback but if its overly negative or insulting, it does not help at all..

Alright, sorry, I'll try to be more tactful now on.
PR is a very nice mod and I love it but I am just trying to point out some problems we experience in-game sometimes.

Jeez... the sapper already had a bad weapon on 0.8 (SKS), now it's even worse!! That N.4 is a VERY slow pistol, and you have to be really lucky to kill anything with that.
But aside from that, the new changes are wonderful.
