Not amused, it looks like shit.

You have to learn the right settings to render well in vegas. You can get great quality and relatively low file size... hold on I'll try and find my saved render settings:

Edit:

Here you are, they're a bit older and I think I refined them a bit over the years but these settings (use MP4) will get you a good render @ pretty good file size (about 1gb for 10 minutes)

THe sound is not related to "Windows Movie Maker" But to the drivers made for Windows 7. You may notice that during the film, fraps records my voice and gunshots with the mic, with what is happening real time, but the ingame sounds come later. This is because of the way windows 7 is setup. For me to fix that however, i need some help.

have you checked your fraps settings? "sync audio and video" or something

Yes, it is checked. The audio is actually not coherent in the AVI file that Fraps saves. It gets delayed.

Have you looked at DBs tut? He is using Fraps for recording and Virtualdub for edit and exporting.

I also recommend vdub for encoding. the fraps codec is really nice but has a bad compression, i myself use xvid mp4 codec for virtualdub, the final quality can be quite nice, as seen here: Gockel's Teaser by Zoddom on Vimeo

The whole lining up thing is kind of silly, but that does seem like a pretty good way of "breaking the ice". I may steal that next time I lead a pubby squad :p (Although knowing my luck they'd probably all of started playing yesterday.)
