which server that was ??! I tested it in several servers with level 1 and 2 PB restriction (NEW,3dAC,PRTA,NWA,QRF,...) and it worked just fine , however I'm not sure about level 3 or above ! :confused:

I have no overlays on, not even mumble.
No other programs running at the same time.
Still nothing.

CTD/Freeze few secs in.
What is your hardwares specification ??

Every server I've tried PB will kick me after about 2 seconds. Is anyone else using the steam version of BF2 ?

Tried it, it worked out fine for me.

Critics:

Mini-Map, Main Menu, Kit-selection-menu all look very shitty with this mod. Much too bright, too much contrast, sometimes its even hard to read the words. Is it possible to have the graphic changes only ingame?

alt+tab crash. I just HAVE to go to desktop sometimes, to check out whos not on mumble and such things. Biggest point to fix!

But I like the graphic improvement :)

Well i don't have to actually launch steam to play PR, so the overlay shouldnt be the cause of this. Just a goofy punkbuster thing.

I was able to try this out in offline mode and its really nice. It really helps for night maps. I would like to see this on the Falklands Night version.

From what I can tell it's not the hardware.
Maybe software?
I've gone through the MSI Afterburner setup and even blacklisted both BF2.exe and pr.exe.

And for the record: No, it's not a Steam version of BF2, it's the old-as-all-hell cased one.

EDIT: I've removed the files to check the integrity of BF2 and PR. It works perfectly without them but CTDs and Freezes before reaching the main menu on either.

How does this interact with Nvidia Inspector using the Fallout3 preset from the other thread?

Should I completely remove BF2.exe and PR.exe from NVidia Inspector's Profiles to use ENB?

BTW Sam,
You have volunteered to be in charge of tech support for ENB for BF2 :P R.

Congrats

1- close or disable Afterburner completely ! (I don't know how afterburner works but I know it can conflict with ENB)
2- if that doesn't solved your problem try this one >>
open enbseries.ini with notepad and change this line under GLOBAL :
BugFixMode=0 (change this value to 1)

I play with the fallout 3 preset. you can add the force ambiance occlusion and the ENB with the eyes closed. It's very nice but it's IMO weak computers won't handle that last configuration.

PR Tech Support can not help you on the use/testing/implementation of ENB and any type of altering of core game files.

If your BF2 License Key is globally banned, there is nothing the PR Tech Support staff can do to help you.

How exactly to set Ambient Occlusion to Quality, or High Quality?

[SSAO]
UseFilter=0
OcclusionQuality=2
FilterQuality=2
DarkeningLevel=50
BrighteningLevel=40
IlluminationLevel=30
AdditiveIlluminationLevel=20
UseAmbientOcclusion=0 I will switch that to =1 to turn it on .
UseIndirectLightning=0
FadeDistance=40
UseForAlphaTest=1
UseForAlphaBlend=1
UseIndirectLighting=0
TextureQuality=2

I don't think so ! they should work along side each other !!

I extracted the files to my main bf2 directory (with BF2.exe,) but now, BF2 or PR will not start up. They both crash right when the application starts. I am running each on Administrator.

I advice you to put only "quality". High Quality is too greedy (one smoke ingame and you lag for sure)

Cheers Sam,
It worked.
Shaders are pretty good, but like some people pointed out: It's a bit too bright on day maps.

EDIT: Trying to tweak the values a little to get less "burn your eyes" brightness and to fix the borders around objects.
