Im using an Xfinity Arris TC862 router/modem. I haven't been able to find anything related to QoS on the modem's gateway page. So im not sure it even supports it.
Ive tried checking and unchecking QoS in mumble several times but havent seen any difference.

So far Im not seeing anything to narrow this problem down to one particular thing. Me and the other posters in this thread seem to all have older computers in common .. with old sound cards and such. Ive updated all my drivers to the latest so idk if thats the issue or not.

The "fix" i had before with running in windowed mode doesnt work anymore since i switched to win7 .. so maybe Ill go back to win xp soon and try it again. I just cant figure out why windowed mode would even make a difference at all.

You need to learn how to shut down as many background processes as possible.
You can use a program called GameBooster to automate shutting down programs.
Hey guys,

after a while i found time to buy new memory and test if it was up on that.
I bought 4x 1 GB but i still have the exactly same issues.

I set the Hardware Sound Acceleration in "dxdiag" to minimum, due problems with BF2 VOIP (on maximum the VOIP doenst work)
