I support this tip, and all those who follow it.crazyasian11 wrote:How about this one:
-Don't create a squad before the server loads otherwise it could create a squad bug. Thats when you can't have squads and thats bad, very bad.
-Keep your team up to date. If you're moving in to cap a flag, type in TEAM chat your actions, and plan. That way, air support can soften your advance, armour squads can oversee your movement, and other squads will have the power to move in as one.
-A squad dedicated to helping the Commander build and support is appreciated. Just be sure to name the squad properly to avoid solo snipers from joining and leaving you without a shovel.
-If you can and you're an engineer, repair the vehicle you're in. Transport helicopter pilots, support truck and heavy transport drivers will appreciate the healthy car. Would you drive a beat-up jalopy into the front lines?
-Just because a nearby teammate isn't in your squad, that doesn't mean you can't support him if time allows. Say your squad takes a break to plan, and a bleeding Rifleman AT is near. Would you leave that vehicle-buster to die?

- Frequently check your squad roster to make sure those assigned kits haven’t got swapped out.
- Remind your squad’s Marksman that his role is to provide close cover for your squad, and not for that hill thar’yonder.
- If in doubt as to your role grab a medic kit.
- Call the compass bearing of enemy movement before firing (it’s at the bottom middle of the screen).
- Always re-supply your ammo bag before anyone re-arms, period. You can then always drop another.
- Dropping a mine? Tell your SL and get it marked.
- Want to impress your friends, family and squad mates!? Then press G to pick up your rope. Hear the gasps of amazement, get the cake! Get the girl! Get the flag!

-Never, ever shoot at a friendly transport chopper. If you want to get a transport chopper's attention, use your colored smoke. Bullets will scare the chopper away.
-When waiting for a transport helicopter to land for extraction, have all of your squad members next to you. A transport helicopter is not going to stay in one place longer than a few seconds, so stick together!

Re: PR Loading Screen Tip Suggestion Thread
i know one.. something like:
If you see enemy. you should only shoot if you are sure, you can hit them! otherwise you will just give your position away!
or
You do not always have to shoot when you see enemy! sometimes its better to wait till you are closer, or sometimes its better if you stay unseen by the enemy
or
First aim!! Before you start shooting...

When attacking a fixed position, don't be afraid to suppress the position while the rest of the squad advances.

If somebody says 'I can fly' ask two questions 1) have you flown in PR before 2)ask if they can land too.
Instead of spammming team chat saying 'we need a commander' - give it a try yourself... It's not that difficult and experienced SQL will give you tips on what to do.

Spotting Tips
-Check your map, and when the enemy’s icon is no longer blinking or visible, spot the target again to keep your team informed. If the target is an APC, your Rifleman Ant-Tank, Anti-Tank and armour will want to know where the target is so they can get rid of it.
-Be kind to the ears of other players; don’t spam spot messages through the radio. Do not repeatedly spot the target in a short amount of time; you’ll be booting other messages from being seen, and eventually be blocked from using radio commands for 31 seconds.
-Sometimes interference (a static object like a light pole or sandbag) to and from the target will leave a false spot on the map. False spots are usually icons pointing directly north (up), not depicting the true angle of the target. If feasible, change your position and spot again. Repositioning your binocs also helps. Sometimes, there is a static object between you and the target that doesn’t render at long distances that could block your spot.
-When manually spotting a target, especially a moving target, as soon as you’ve brought up the rose, you could take all the time you’d wish to spot the target, and it will still be spotted. Example: a jet soars by; you’ve managed to open the comm rose and you choose Vehicle as the jet’s already on the other side of the map. It’s still spotted.
-Sometimes spotted icons disappear from the map too soon. This means the target is either destroyed, or is too far from you to be viewed on the map. Friendly icons will also disappear if you’re a good distance away from them. They may not be dead, it’s just the game engine won’t show the icon on your map. Jets often disappear from the map if you’re not in another jet following it.
-Rally point and bunker spotted icons are red triangles. They may not be accurate of the location, and as they are the first choice from the manual spot list, they may appear like ‘Enemy boat spotted’ in vanilla BF2.
-Spotting infantry is not as practical as there is no minimap for infantry to see these spotted icons. Don’t be surprised if you spot a soldier over a hill and your squad member doesn’t react to him. It’s best to tell others over VoIP about hostiles.

-When you enter a helicopter, always let the pilot know where you want to go. When requesting a helicopter extraction, make sure the LZ is secure.
-Never fire your weapon unless it's at an enemy. Every time you fire, you'll be revealing your squads position.
-If you're operating a Blackhawk minigun, do not fire it at anything except hostile units. Firing it for no reason while on the ground may cause harm to the Blackhawk or other units; firing it while airborne will give away your position.[and annoy the F out of the pilot]
-While the Blackhawk miniguns can be useful for supressing hostile infantry, it is inaccurate and weak against hostile veichles.

Enemy flag is not that important if there is no bunker. Search and destroy enemy rallypoint or firebase near the flag, then cap the flag.
If you are defending the flag. Scatter with your squadmates around the flag about 100 meters away and try to searh their rally or firebase. If u stay on the flag you eventually lose because enemy can attack your flag forever.
Dont build barbwire fences and sandbag walls if you are not 200% sure they help your team. You only waste your squads time and might even make your team more difficult to get away from flag/firebase.
Make suggestions for better tactics if you are sure your SL is not thinking right. If he still decides to keep his plan, obey the plan 100%.
