The ACU on the soldiers looks awesome. Oh wait.... the badge on their shoulders... THE 3rd INFANTRY DIVISION!!! YAY!!!!

The Stryker looks like pretty fun to drive with.

this is going to be interesting, since the US Army is getting the stryker, which is armed with a .50cal, and yet the MEC is armed with and BTR-90 with a 30mm gun?

Have you even tried the beta build / done any testing? I would expected a tester to have looked around at what was in there then it would become pretty clear on how its going to work... :roll:

Yeah.. hoped that, too. But it's cool anyway.

But there's one point I can't understand? Does the US Army still use those 'triangle-signs" (as you can see on that Humvee pic)?? I think not..?

This new ACU camo is really awesome... would love to see some of those guys on middle-east/desert maps like EJOD etc. ;)

Personally I would rather see them on Basrah TBH.

I seriously hope Stryker is getting a new skin in the future b/c I haven't seen a desert camo Stryker yet and this is supposed to be a realism mod. Such an awesome vehicle with a wrong texture.

I love the M4. Which kit is getting M68 and which iron sights?
Probably my second favourite faction in the mod. Can't wait :D

Realy nice update :D

But i dont like the Stryker. Compared with the other vehicles it doesnt look so good as usal.

Um....... The US Army SF only uses the M4 Carbine, the US Army as a whole uses both the M4 Carbine, and the M16A4 just like the Marines do.

Just because you see it that way on TV dose not make it so. Plus the US Army SF hate the M4 Carbien and are looking at the Scar 11 the Navy Seals use.

But other then that great update! At leat we will have a better looking M4! Black FTW!

Another thing of note is all US Army Strikers have stock green paint, no camo. Think WW2 Sherman colors and you will get what I mean.

BT WI hope the Striker is not OP like it was in Desert Combat where it could take 120mm tank rounds and keep going, It should stand up well to IEDs, but a tank round or RPG should smack it up good.

BTW any chance the Striker with the gate stuff on it to protect agenst RPGs will make the final cut?

The Army use the M4 as their main rifle, with some M16A2s for use in training and possibly very limited use in combat/non-combat units.

(SOCOM guys use the M4A1, the full--auto variant of the M4)

This is very cool stuff. Only pt 1 eh? Wow, I admire your dedication to authenticness & "reality". Can't say the same for most other games. Anyway The army will be on kashan and kashan has a 800 meter view distance? So the m4 carbine what is it generally "zeroed" to IRL & what is it's effective range? Also that Styker is very nice but I do remember most of them I've seen photos of have the anti RPG cage, maybe that could be tacked on last minute and just take RPGs off the map since they would not be effective anyway. Keep the ATGMs of course. I hope you will implement that modified eryx that somebody did. It was REALLY a superb mimic of the RL item. It would be a shame not to put that in. Anyway I look forward to pt2.

Thanks for the info correction and not getting mad. I never new that I thought they used the same stuff as the USMC. Oh well I may be outa date on that kind of info then lol!

But I hope that we get some good US Army only weapons. and maybe some better guns and a new M1A2SEP model as well. The current one lacks the Urban Survival kit that the US Army is fielding right now in combat. Explosive reactive armor for the side armor near the treads, remote 50.cal Turret for the tank commader, and last but not least the blast shield for the secondary gun seat for the M240/SAW weapon. They use the right model in BF:BC so we should use the same model as well IMO.

It's the same thing the Germans did with their Leopard 2A2 model. Remote MG3, and reactive armor on the sides to keep RPGs away from the treads. It makes the tank that much stronger, and also keeps the crew safe.

Last But Not least I hope this means the A10 will make a come back! As well as the M1A2 Bradly with side and rear mounted M16A3s for the crew. The last thing needed would be a new skin for the BlackHawk and it's removal from all USMC maps,a dn replaced with the UH-1Y Huey. BTW are you going to fix the name of the Huey? They use the Y model now not the A model you have it named ingame.
