Re: [Vehicle] SISU XA-186 [WIP]
Cool, just asking, how long does it take to make a model like this? I want to become a modeler of some sort but I dont know were to start.

Re: [Vehicle] SISU XA-186 [WIP]
Depends, but not too long, maybe 2-4 "full" days (4-6 hours a day). Now I'm using a lot more days but just a few minutes a day
. Though to finish a product you have to take some time to get a result you are proud of. Just start small (I started with a TT33 Tokarev using the Glock-tutorial) and take it from there
You will get better and better fast if you continue to model!
Good luck!

Good luck!

I use 3ds max, but there are free and really good alternatives (I cant remember the name right now, google it
). If you want to show me/ask me something you've made, just PM me with it and I'l take a look.

gmax is free but rather limited. Blender is free and extremely powerful.

No, sorry. Things are going slow, a lot of personal things are taking up most of my time. Probably going to be a slow month with little progress... Will try to allocate some time to finish this

Re: [Vehicle] SISU XA-186 [WIP]
Had some time today, made some progress. Although hard to see, the drive train is almost finished, but other than that a lot of small details remain. If it's okay with the team leaders I will use the picture posted in my first post as main reference for this model (Which I think is a XA-203) as the XA-186 don’t look as nice. (Any tips on making the renders lighter? I use the clay-render tut from game-artist)

Looks ace but i dont know if im right or wrong but the hull shape looks a bit off, needs to be a tad more diagonal.

Cutting wires and other traps/obstacles in the road, saving the head of the .50cal gunner etc.
