Were asking for moar rails just for the lulz after playing CoD MW2 where every weapon (knife would be an exception) is covered with 1kk railz, thinking about it, I bet they thought putting some rails and maybe even a scope on the knife tooProtector wrote:People keep asking for more rails but it looks like it has the right ammount on it? The M14, which the M21 was built up from, was capable of full-automatic fire. The M21 did not have that feature, the firing mechanism was redone and the FA mode removed. The M14 rifles are still in use today, although in a limited role. The M21 is not being used much anymore, either replaced with the M25 or M24, or even other SWS platforms that perform better. The M14 EBR that is the focus of this topic is an enhanced version of the M14, designed for the DMR and still has the FA function intact.ma21212 wrote:this might sound noobish but.... the older M21 came with an Auto firing mode. The M14 is actually a beast of a weapon. I'm more than familiar with heavy weapons, and even for my experience the M14 can be a ***** to deal accurate fire in automatic mode. Consider that option more for CQB and suppressing fire where accuracy doesn't matter much. Because the M14 EBR is used in the DMR role, there is a small chance that it might be carried during CQB ops. Pretty much, if you need FA on this weapon, you're already in deep doo-doo. The buttstock might actually prove more useful at close range.

"Been there, done that."
The M110 is already in service with the US Army, although it has not phased out the M24 SWS yet. The M110 is basically the same thing as the Mk 11 (SR-25), just improved in a few areas. So when you think about it, the M110 and "family" have been in US military service for several years now.
The M110 has the NSN 1005-01-534-2841.
OFF-TOPIC (related to M110)

More guns and bullets make bad guys go away faster,
which in turn makes everyone in the area safer.
