Re: [reskin]Boeing CH-47 Chinook
I think you can apply for the job when you're 16 years and 9 months old. After the selection process, which takes roughly 6-9 months you can start your training, which takes roughly 3-4 years. So theoretically you can already be flying at a squadron aged 20-21. I'm definatly not the youngest. I've finished my training 2 years ago.
To be precise, when I did my training it was 1 year KMA, 6 months EMVO, 1 year IERW at Ft. Rucker, AL, USA and the conversion to the dutch CH-47 which took about 3 months, and inbetween there were all kinds of other training like Crew Resource Management and Survival Courses.

VERY WIP
Robert1983nl does this look something like the C-47F's you seen? I used the gray now used on the cougar, added low-viz markings:
Only changed colors the details will be changed in a later stage.

Re: [reskin]Boeing CH-47 Chinook
do the dutch CH-47F also get the weatherradar of the CH-47D? because if so, we should think about adding a sharper nose as childmodel, since its quite different from the usual chinook

Looks very good NemeanHavoc, I'm impressed! Expect photos of the gray Chinook to be published in about 3 months
Maxfragg, the F-model also gets the weather radar, as well as the bigger airfilters and a FLIR pod mounted underneath the nose.

Good to see the military advisors giving the texture artists hell as usual Robert, get your camera out and take some pics for him and PM them to him

De grijze Foxtrots staan nog in de fabriek in de USA. Helaas wordt de aflevering steeds maar uitgesteld... Dit jaar gaat het niet meer worden... Ik heb wel een poster met een gerenderd plaatje van de grijze Chinook.

I would love to see the Lynx helicopter or the NH-90 helicopter(prefer the NH-90 though)

Re: [reskin]Boeing CH-47 Chinook
The Lynx is being phased out of the Dutch Navy now and since the PR Lynx is a Army lynx and not a Navalized Lynx some things need to be changed and or added for it to be suitable.
[.] Landing gear under nose and winglets instead of skids
[.] Engine exhausts
[.] And what ever more i missed

Re: [reskin]Boeing CH-47 Chinook
it's perhaps the most iconic asset (next to our f16's) the joint dutch armed forces have in their arsenals, but I just have to ask:
if it's going to be phased out, why bother making a navalized lynx?

Re: [reskin]Boeing CH-47 Chinook
yes thats the question, the only vallid reason i can come up with would be as a placeholder for a good NH-90 model and limmited to maps that would include marines.

Nopes, it was never finished and AFAIK it was way too tri-heavy. It's a shame tho, there are 7 community factions that could use it

Let me just use this opportunity glim to ask how everything's coming? You guys still working on the mod or has it died down a bit? This isn't a negative lined comment or anything, i'm just wondering
OT: agree on the lynx yeah, the most iconic piece we have in our arsenal, to bad its being phased out..
