Re: SUGGESTION - Medievac helicopter
The "let's take the evac to main base so that the player can fully heal" has been re-suggested a million times in modern PR. This is not new.
Although I understand the realistic view on this subject, it will be deemed boring and unpracticable by many.
First of all, it would cut the flow of attacking routes. Injured members of a squad would have to fall back, one by one, until stripped to a very few.
What if you're having an unlucky round and getting blind shots or mortars, having to withdraw many times in a short span? How in the hell would that be fun for someone?
If Medievac turned out everything you wanted it to be, then it would be the most important asset in the game. And I mean, the MOST. To a point that if a tard decided to crash it early in the round, the team would be doomed until another spawned.
The medievac should solely fuction as DEVs hinted. A mobile medical station that operates behind the offensive line. Simple as that.

Re: SUGGESTION - medic heli's
I was wondering wether or not there would be medivacs. Thanks for confirming it for us and refreshing our memories as the video was released almost a year ago.[R-DEV]AfterDune wrote:Yes, there will be medic-hueys .
(they were in the trailer too btw )
I'm really looking foward to PR:Vs release!

Re: SUGGESTION - Medievac helicopter
Medievac is simple to make, just make sure that all players on board won't gain or lose health. So they can heal in main. Problem solved.
We are staying up!

Re: SUGGESTION - Medievac helicopter
During vietnam,I'm sure that the medics couldn't fix up a soldier as fast as the medics can today. They should only be able to revive and stabilize the wounded and call in a med-vac. The medic could work to keep the wounded stabilized during the fight, and a med-vac could fly in and take out the wounded and some transports could bring in fresh troops(that would look epic. Especially if a gunship was flying overhead for protection). Possibly, there has to be a medic on the heli. Since, in real life, the helicopter doesn't heal you,the medical crew does. So,with that being said, there could be a medic on board that could actually slowly *Heal* the soldiers until they reach the base where the medic would get out and completely heal them in a tent. Once that's over a transport could take them back to the fight.

Would be impossible to have it so once hit, you have to get medievaced to main.,.. simply impossible, would ruin gameplay.

Re: SUGGESTION - Medievac helicopter
Placing a medical emplacement near a fob (as you do with 50cals, TOW and mortars) great idea, that would also give a bigger reason and pointofview why the heck we should have atleast one fireteam stay back by the fob to actually to defend it. Since right now in PR we have a lot of god damn Spec Ops operating behind us and taking out our spawnpoints.
So, basically, fobs (spawns) on the map would be great but only 2 medical tent at FOBs (Like the TOW limit right now, so we can have two tents on different flanks), and that's where we need a squad defending. it will actually operate and have a meaning to live up to it's name - Forward Operation Base compared to those spread out all over the map which more or less adress to Forward Infantry Ceckpoint.

Just to get this one clear: a Forward Operating Base is massive. What we place/build in PR are small Forward Outposts.

Yeah, people fail to see this. An asset shouldn't be this critical and massively decisive.goguapsy wrote:+, if the chopper is shot down...

Re: SUGGESTION - Medievac helicopter
Only suggestion I can think of is when you build a FOB as a squad leader you have the option now to build a field MASH (or something like that) except the catch is you need a medical chopper nearby to place down the mash. Then it can be built like any other building and when fully build would heal anyone standing inside the actual tent and replenish their field dressings..
