The 508th is proud to announce the following:

As of the 4th of April 2011 the 508th Parachute Infantry Regiment welcomes it's newly formed Oceania's 3rd Infantry Battalion.

The 3rd Battalion will make its area of operation the Oceania region encompassing all of Australia, New Zealand, as well as Coastal Asia bordering the Pacific Ocean.

Just a note, I SUCK at infantry. I am a decent scout, I can fly choppers, but If I am defending or attacking something, I will act as a meat shield and just waste tickets.

Did you post your application on the forums Jake? And don't worry to bad about being infantry. The other guys will help you ( Just don't ask me, I'm not that great either. )

The 508th is a great bunch of people, would recommend anyone looking for a realism clan to check them out.

The 508th Parachute Infantry Regiment works hard to be a clan that is friendly to veterans and active duty military personnel. At the 508th we respect and value the years of real world experience that current and former service members have, regardless of country or branch of service. We have been working on a way to recognize and reward our service members and veterans, and this is it. It is my privilege to announce, on behalf of the 508th Parachute Infantry Regiment:

Purpose: Real world military service is held in the highest regard in the 508th Parachute Infantry Regiment, regardless of the country or branch of service. As such, real world service is rewarded within the 508th.

Requirements

The Veteran's Program is completely voluntary, and is intended as a way to give back to our veterans. Out of respect for our vets however, we do try to be careful that no false claims are made. Contact SGT Ice or 508th Command Staff for specific details on requirements.

Time in service

Upon full acceptance into the 508th Parachute Infantry Regiment, eligible veterans may be granted early promotion as recognition for their time in service. Additionally, at the discretion of 508th Command, eligible veterans may also be given additional time in grade credit for future promotions within the clan, again dependent upon real world experience.
