??:
As for colour ot the sand, if you ever seen desert sand in real (i have seen desert smples from Lybia) it comes in some really wierd solours, yellow, red, green, even blue, depending on certain mineral grains in it...

If anything it should help FPS right? It keeps the veiw distance down.
Anyways, I think it looks a lot better than how it used to look.

actually the more i look at the first set of pictures the more i think you are spot on...i've got pictures of some completely orange sandstorms in kandanhar that sucked visibility to nothing. i couldn't see 3 feet in front of me. afghanistan sucked butt bubbles

Good job, must feel great to have finished. Big well done. Does it include any custom statics? If so there will be issues regarding testing with that.
Also hope that 0.1% includes the minimap!
look forward to experiencing this effect.
congrats again

Yea I though I saw some reworked statics there. Its that house left in the 1st pic and right in the last pic yea? Who made them/can you enter them?

by DJJ-Terror
no, no... that's the house you got in those piles of rubble topic...
I edited bridge to be used as gates.

Yeah effect is good (mucho like the idea of a sniper-unfriendly map) but I agree with a previous poster who suggested that visibility should be further reduced.
Granted, the game would be unplayable with visibility at 3 foot or so, but certainly bringing it back even further would be good- sand storms cause complete blankouts, after all.
Also, they make a tremendous amount of noise... for realism's sake it'd be kinda cool if the shouted voiceovers ("Medicccccc!" etc) were very muted and if most of the sound effects were also deadened with a huge sandy roaring noise constantly filling your ears
