The answear is that its to many dialects

The Norwegian dialects are commonly divided into 4 main groups, North Norwegian (nordnorsk), Tr?ndelag Norwegian (tr?ndersk), West Norwegian (vestnorsk), and East Norwegian (?stnorsk). Sometimes Midland Norwegian (innlandsm?l) is considered a fifth group.

lol, we dutch didn't even discuss the inclusion of native dutch dialects.
though I think most people would be happy to see their native dialect represented ingame, some people might be discontent to see their speech used as grunts while their loathed neighbours are squadleaders.

In the netherlands the contrasts are quite sharp and would probably cause some disdain, though of course popular, humorous or neutral dialects are an option.

That depends on how you count really.... I used to live on an island about 60 km long and 10 km wide, with just over 40.000 living here. If you are from here, you can easily tell at least 10 different accents apart from each other on this island. So if you really were to count it would be in the thousands.
