I was really sorry to hear that the devteam wants to wait until 1.5 is out.
This sertanly puts us on a potentialy long waiting list considering past DICE merits...
BUT,on the other hand we are ensured a welworking product that will please the fanbase

So lets just enjoy 0.85 for now and start looking forward to when we can play with our new toys in 0.86

If the Dev team have to wait for this stupid patch.... And yes it may take awhile.
Well COuld the Dev team add new stuff so when the patch comes out then whooohooo more stuff to play with?

Going prone now causes a delay/triggerable change in accuracy... meaning the death of prone spam. Get ready for about 80% more realistic encounters...

This could be a long wait then as the "hope" to be ready b winter and it is most definatly summer, thats a season and a half away!

Thats what I've missed in vanilla. The game itself looks quite realistic and it could really be without those stupid pronejumps ... this patch is bringing bf2 a bit further to this realism.

Well as far as I have read it, the 1.5 Patch will still have some delay.
It will give a third Beta part of 1.5 and it will start somewhere near in June, but still it's only a Beta.

Since the 1.5 patch has been delayed (they said would be out in may 2009) we may change plans once again for v0.86 release, but we really would like to have the security features that were implemented in BF2 1.5 applied for PR as it does solve quite a few problems (CTD name spoofing being a prime example).

The final decision will be made by us whether to wait on 1.5 or not, currently at this time we still need to do some more internal testing before v0.86 is ready to ship, once its ready we will make a judgement call whether to hold off release for 1.5 or not.

Will you want the services of Stress testers or just normal testers?

Got to love the changes and looking forward to the patch.

Only thing I missed is whether the insurgents will get at least one dressing?

It's almost impossible to find a civilian in the current build and all you need is to suffer a shaving cut to kill you off! Very annoying!

Good to see that the Taliban's Medic's Musket has been finally corrected!
