yeah it was removed because certain HUD elements PR uses would be turnoffable and create exploits as a resultElshanF wrote:Why can't you remove the hud using the renderer.drawhud command again? I can't seem to find the reason why ?

Has any DEV thought about making an INS map of an Irish city where we have the GB army (the one used for the Falklands mini-mod) fighting against the IRA ? I guess IRA could be made from Militia's stuff.

Re: Ask the [DEV]s a (?) - Part 2
This has been suggested in the past, however it was deemed to be inappropriate for several reasons. The conflicts in Northern Ireland are a sensitive issue, but also there is a lack of static models to appropriately feature an Irish map. I once attempted to make a map set in Lincolnshire in England and found the lack of statics was too great for even a good rural English map. The DEV team has got plenty to do without trying to spread into a whole new theatre of war and we certainly lack dedicated BF2 static modelers.KaB wrote:Has any DEV thought about making an INS map of an Irish city where we have the GB army (the one used for the Falklands mini-mod) fighting against the IRA ? Alright ! Sad to read that. Hoping it'll eventually become a big project one day, as WW2 and Falklands are.

The amount of damage that bullets do is glitched somehow so they do massive damage. People have apparently been shot in the leg by a pistol and died from it. A lot of one shot kills are going around right now.Delfer wrote:The guy he quoted said something about a one shot bug. I heard someone complaining about it on Khamisiyah INS as well.

Regardless, it's a well known bug that will be fixed.ComradeHX wrote:How do you know they are full hp?

Because the German Tornado IDS doesn't use them, nor dose the German Air Force for that matter. But tbh nor do they use the (British) 1000lb bombs it has on it either but keep your eyes on my blog for a fix for that soonKerryburgerking wrote:Why did you remove the brimstones from the Tornado?
BTW the RAF Tornado GR4 still has the Brimstones on it, just its not on any maps right now

Re: Ask the [DEV]s a (?) - Part 2
Come to think of it, why are Bradleys and Strykers even on the same maps when, aside from Stryker ambulance variants replacing older M113 based ones, they aren't even in the same kinds of brigades? Isn't it the same with BTRs and MT-LBs in the Russian Army?ElshanF wrote:Why was the BMP-2 removed from the Kamisyah INF Layer leaving MEC with btrs and MTLBs yet the US have Bradley's and a striker. Re: Ask the [DEV]s a (?) - Part 2
Our stats showed that MEC was winning that layer 70% of the time. That change was to seek balance. Remember that the BMP-2M can shoot its TOW while moving, and maybe that was too much of an advantage for MEC with no tanks or jets to hinder their dominance.ElshanF wrote:Why was the BMP-2 removed from the Kamisyah INF Layer leaving MEC with btrs and MTLBs yet the US have Bradley's and a striker. But we'll continue to monitor win results and see if the change helped or if something else needs tweaking. It's not a perfect science. LOL
