I think most people say its not fun because its not easy. Which is IMO a contradiction to PR. Nothing in PR that is Fun is easy to do.

I don't think its fun because you cannot even do low and fast attack runs, imo that was fun and balanced.

but you can, because its goes faster because it can't vert dive. you can dive upto 45 degrees in it. You just can't 90 degree float down at 0 throttle.

I mean .9 speeds, k4on drastically reduced speeds some time ago.

So after flying the hind a bunch, i think there are two major issues i have identified with the new flight model.

First, when attacking ground targets, even only in a slight dive the helicopter builds up way too much speed.
Second, whenever that happens the yaw control doesn't work anymore, which makes it really hard to correct your aim.

Any DEV input on this? Nowadays it seems the DEVs are almost exclusively posting on their hidden forums instead of interacting with us 'plebs', which is a big factor in the decline of activity on the public sections.

Why post feedback if it will almost never be addressed anymore?

That's intended that you should be unable to dive, but speed will be reduced.

Well on high speeds you should be aiming with roll rather than yaw, but i agree that stabilizer too strong. Working on it aswell.

With 'slight dive' i meant that the helicopter builds up too much speed even on normal, low attack runs when putting the nose down just a bit, glad to hear that it will be reduced.

Why should you aim with roll rather than yaw on high speeds though, is it that way with real attack helicopters?
The issues i addressed are only so relevant because of the view distance limits in the game imo.

Overall i still enjoy flying with the new flight model more because it is so smooth and fluid, even though it made the helicopter less effective, glad that this will be curbed with your new changes!

I suspect at high speed the yaw force will be heavily reduced because:

- tail rotor may be operating with partial stall due to increase in AoA

- when the tail moves, it creates intense drag (the tail is a very un-aerodinamyc cilinder in the yaw direction)that tends to compensate the yaw.

I'd love it if the chinook and lynx didn't still plummet from the sky like a pack of bricks when you even think about pressing the S or down keys. Any chance it could be rectified? Even with a throttle being at 5% down it moves like the rotors just didnt exist anymore. Which is strange as almost every other helicopter moves down slow enough for a controlled landing.

I'm not talking full on old 90 degree dives or even anything past 45 degrees, but with the hind and especially on thunder, or pavlovsk, you need to point your nose at the target to hit it. This results in you picking up way too much speed and not being able to pull up effectively. I've smashed the ground a few times with this. Blah blah, change your flying/get better. The hind is one of the few helicopters that has a really hard time with a shallow attack using hydras, and its the helicopter that you have to do that attack run with. The huey in my opinion is great because you can point your nose down, shoot and still pull up.

Any chance of unnerfing the hueys speed? I'm not sure when it was nerfed, or the reason, but I have always felt gameplay trumped realism in this case. I used to love flying transport with this helicopter, but I rarely touch it now. It had the perfect flight model when it was faster. Play both of these side by side and observe the speed at low level flight.
