I have already installed the patch, and i'm a bit disapointed.
Just wanted to say what i didnt like in 0.75:

- Annoying "supressing" effects (every time the bullet hit near you, it looks like some granade just blowed up right next tou you, so much effects, screen changes with colors really sucks. No offence, but i think you over-exaggerated with this one, i liked the smooth blur from 0.7 much more)

-Black death screen (well its so boring like hell to watch this on pub. May be it could be usefull in clanwars but sucks on pub imho. Irritate a lot even though i played just 1 night)


Positivies points of this patch that i noticed:

-Granade live-time inscreased. Granades now are more realistic and they dont blow as soon as they hit the ground. Now i get my 1.5-2 seconds to try to get my *** into foxhole :mrgreen:

I have only one glaring question about the 0.75 patch.

Iron Sight Rifleman vs Optical Sight Rifleman.

Where is the balance between the two? If both carry ammo. The only difference between the two is iron sight vs optical and the Iron Sight Rifleman carries 2 more grenades over the Optical Rifleman. Is this the only differences?

I do believe there was an oversight made. There needs to be something added to the iron sight rifleman to keep him as an asset in a squad. Perhaps 2 more grenades making his total 6 before reloading. Or give him a Shotgun much like the Engineer making him more of an asset in clearing close quarters.

Do something to make the Iron Sight Rifleman a decent balance to a squad again. 2 extra grenades is laughable IMO. Is there something else different I am not aware of? Is the Ammo bag for the iron sight rifleman better in some way?

Hi @ all and Hi dev´s!

First i have to say a big thanks 4 all the work and the greatest 3d shooter i ever played!

I have installed the new patch and it runs very well.

Ok the black screen is boring, but its more realistic and so ok 4 me!

But the new suppression reactions i cant handle with this... I think bye first playing that it is a nice feature, but it works a little bit 2 hard i think.

i was killed so many times and even cant see where it comes from. 1 bullet hits the ground near bye me and i cant see anything...

I there something i have 2 do or i have 2 look for? Some guys maked clear headshots even if i had them under fire...

but if myself is under fire i told you after the first bullets in my near im not be able 2 get such a good look/view 2 even shot back...

But i played the new patch only for a view hours, so i have 2 test it much more!

Btw i say thanks again for this "mod" (i think about it as a full game) You guys created the game i ever dreamed of! Not EA and not Dice was able 2 write such a good game!

- best teamplay ever
- great weapons and vehicles

and so on!

Thanks 4 that and your time and work you all get in this game.

Ok i plaied the new insurgency map, finaly get this game installed, iam a big fan of unconventional warfare like the search(uk,usa) and hide(ins) game. Operation Archer is that kind of game i realy like it. The best part on this map is the map , mountains, light, sun nice atmosphere and of course huey(x2) this make the pilot(transport) very important and not just fly around guy.

What i dont like is suppression reactions, i mean is it realistic ?! It looks all great and fine untill some bullet drop in front of u :? ??: its not realistic for me. The black screen is a fine feature but i would remove the suppression reactions and put it with black screen together.I mean if u getting hit the reaction before 0.75 was good keep that, than u lie on the ground came the suppresion and it getting worster every second untill u see black and die. Medic bring u back too "live" u cant move see the suppresion reaction and afterwhile it getting better, if no 1 shooting you of course :mrgreen:

Next patch : it would be more realistic if the ambusher get just only 1 IED but strong as 2 IEDs and he have too burrie it 10seconds or something(i know its lot of work )maby other skin of the IED this skin is not bad..but its little small,well u cant see it if it burried but if u have it in the hands. Why burrie ? its just unrealistic if u run too apc or tank and just drop it *bang* and its gonne... i dont like it but i play ambusher mostly.. ok u could put this armor piercing grenadetoo get this "effect" . MINES should be burriebl too and take some time too burrie like in Forgotten Hope 2. PM(Private Military)there lot of them doo service and its up to date. So u can make new gamemode like convoy or defent some "bulding" that insurgency try too attack maby with VIP in it. Add chopper and armored vehicles with mounted guns and new guns (no antitank and stuff) just new rifles mgs and pistols and new model skin . Mosin nagant i know its cheap but do the insurgency realy use it ? its old cheap and russian ..so the insurgency must use it :roll: i think just 4 SVDs(Dragunov) would be ok

Iknow it lots of wishes :P but it would underline the Reality in Project Reality

I just love it. Especially the new insurgends map.

Just freakin´ huge with so many hideeouts. And as insurgents you just have that many rpgs availiable.

You did an awesome job on that map definately.

I had so much fun yesterday playing around with the ieds and planning assaults on Apcs. Havn´t had that much teamplay in a while either. :firing:

The bold is the important part to check. Make sure you have it. PR now runs off a custom exe due to new shader effects.
aha.. you shouldnt have given the choice to install shortcut or not in the installer

The hueys are awesome, did they replace them will ALL the blackhawks?


Anyway the huey has that "Merlin Bug" problem

Great new patch, only a few complaints.
1. Hueys could have some sort of machine gunners on both sides, would complete the Huey now, otherwise EXCELLENT job!!
2.Make the Rifelman without Opticals have something massively extra, cos atm i dont see why anyone would go without opticals as you can resupply yourself anyway!! (btw dont take ammo bag from optical though, love that :D )

and that is it for now! Ill test more and more, but I LOVE OPERATION ARCHER!! keep up the AWESOME work guys!

Since I have BF2 and 0.7 do I just need the patch?
Or do I need the patch and the levels download?
Or do I need all 3 of them?
Or do I need to get rid of the old 0.7 stuff and reinstall?

You need the patch and levels. We have similar set-ups, and through trial and error, I discovered you need two downloads to update to .75. Have fun!

You should only need the patch to update from 0.7.

Those without 0.7 will need the full core and levels.

Just take AUTOMATIC RIFLEMAN kit push F7 or F8 so u got machine gunner on both sides, thats what i did :firing:

Or take MG, heavy AT and u create AH-64 Apache :twisted: (Improvised apache device)

Keep the hueys like they are atm. maby shorter respawn time (4min?)

Loving the suppression...a bullet hits a wall 4 meters from me and bang! I'm a blind man. Why don't we just make it so when you fire your gun you go deaf and blind? That would make sense too.
