i am glad the ADF uses F89's, i hate to be lugging this thing around

even lugging the f89 around still gets bloody heavy... but at least ur number 2 carrys the spare barrel and some ammo

i never found out why we didn't use the H version of the f88, i know its got sweet FA ammo, but isn't it ridiculously light compared to other LMG's

Yep, do both ELCAN and 1.5x optics (which in essence will be like the steyrs, a psuedo aimpoint).

Also one thing, could you fold down the carry handle?

nooo the carry handle does not fold down down it stays up because its used for changeing the barrel

but as i wasn't actually attempting to bump anything (where in, i would use the obligatory :bump: mechanic.) but simply updating a thread with information i had yet to see be discussed, this in conjunction with my well known penchant for giving our modelers no end of irritation by consistently mentioning updates and programmatic specificity phase advancements pertaining to the current interdepartmental DGLD, DMO, DSTO and ARA arrangements as allocated to but not restricted to the current development of ADF capabilities.

so as not to confuse the subject any more i will further to elaborate on my previous comment and attempt to avoid any further attempts at humor that may be mistaken.

as i have been going over a great deal of information and sorting through the current Australian Defence force information particularly the latest unclassified material for the Infantry ACR 2012 land programs, i have been informed of the trials and comparative tests involving the latest models of the GSMG MAG 58, F89 LSW and very recently the 7.62x51mm MINIMI LMG. and to this "serious" consideration is being made to evaluate the introduction of the latter at the section level in favor of the current GSMG at the manouver fire team level.
