The people concerned about this breaking "immersion" are probably taking this game a little too seriously. This is a pretty neat feature devs. Will actually be more fun and effective now to referee matches.

Agreed, half of the posts in this thread dont seem to have read the work required to be able to spawn as one of these. As in, you dont simply get it when you havent spawned. You have the be a trusted admin or member of the clan. This will add far more to the abilities of film makers and admins than it will take away from your run of the mill player ;)

I foresee one per every few servers, and then, probably only the ones that are running clan matches or tourneys in need of actual refereeing.

Though you might sees a number when it is first introduced out of the sheer novelty of it... ;)

For the people worried about this guy, it's a little less noticable than the old admin spectator vehicle (though I've never seen it in action)

i don't like the fact that

1. it's visible. why does it have to be visible? what good does that do for the admin? i mean, if the admin uses it to check for misdemeanors and such, it would be better for it to be invisible.

also if you're recording the squad attack for a video in multiple angles, you have to make sure the other camera isn't visible in the shot.

2. it most likely will be abused by that dodgy admin on a random server that always types profanities at people. i can see him hovering over caches etc "because it's fun", or "happen" to ram a bird.

3. it will destroy my tacticool immersion if i see it.

i don't see any logical reason for it to be visible, except "wellitlookscoollol". novelty will wear off quickly imo.

this is a great idea.. but being visible... not something im a big fan of, and everyone being able to spawn it. sorta.. is really wierd imo

it better not b too big, and it better not get in the way and stuff

This is a great idea and the only issues I can foresee are interaction with air assets which in that case the PRbot shouldn’t be used. It isn’t something that has to be used and is up the to server admins discretion. If you think the admins on a particular server are going to abuse it then maybe it’s not prbots fault but the admins.

So that when people are filming or making promotional shots, the videographer/director can give directions in reference to his/her position.

Well, I'm not going to say "take it away!" but, I kind of want a camoed UAV or something... it really does break immersion

I don't think Ancient said anywhere that it's intended use is for public admining.

Admins should only use it in matches or for filming purposes. If people use it in public games, just go find yourself another server to play on.

Ramming a bird, lol, it's not like you will be able to damage anything with the prbot.

Btw, I think a visible version is way better than an invisible one.

would be cool if it could be a flock of birds. like the birds that fly up from the grass. i've seen those circle in the sky in fh2. maybe those can be made as a unit? would be a bit more realistic lookiN'

How about releasing 0.9 instead of flying cameras? ;)
