I actually really like the medic restriction. Small specialist squads designed to engage specific targets or perform specific roles should NOT be encouraged to pick fights with other targets unless already engaged. A HAT-snipe or lolsnipe squad with the weight of "no chance of revival" hanging over their head when evaluating targets is more likely to work in a state of cautious aggression (say, for instance, SUPPORTING AN INFANTRY SQUAD WHICH HAPPENS TO HAVE A MEDIC THAT CAN REVIVE THEM).

Also, quick question. Can you still use breaching slug against Collaborators inside ROE at any time?

Holy Jesus, is that really the VN3? Is that going to be in 0.9? If so, I love you guys. Really. Now if you don't mind all I want is to be alone with my precious VN3...

Seriously, at this point I don't even care too much if it ain't in. The other changes and new stuff described could probably fill that empty space in my soul that appeared since the VN3 was first announced. Canadians look boss and far exceed my expectations, as previously I was all like "Who needs Canucks in the game?" and now I am ready to start singing the praises of the asskicking Canuckistanis and their lumberjack commandos. And I love that you made civies back to being more untouchable. I might almost be able to walk within a 100 meters of BLUFOR with my hands up now! And when I get illegally shot, I won't get a 2-minute spawntime! HELLZ-YEAH! Seriously, this looks like it's shaping up to be the best release ever, which is saying a lot since PR0.75 killed my interest in most other video games.

Kinda don't like the Insurgency changes regarding the number of caches needed to be destroyed and ticket increase for taking them out. Will have to see how it playes out, though.

But still, AWESOME job guys!

Thanks to everyone who "sacrificed" his time in-order to make 0.9 TEH BEST RELEASE EVER!



When 0.9 will come out I won't go to school for a week :-P

Looking good:
1. AAS - tidying up Kashan as my fave map!

2. Insurgent is looking nice, helping out the poor civilians, and changing win/lose balance we see how that plays out, I guess the DEVs will experiment or have experimented to come to those numbers.

3/4. CnC and VW represent virtually a new game within PR, on RT last night on the infantry layer we had enormous problems with MEC BRDMs as they were proving difficult for our .50 Humvee and gunship BHs. I really hope that matches/events can be organized to fully use these exciting new layers.

5. Being a noob i've not played CO-OP, goes searching to investigate what it is all about, nice name though.

6.Personally I'm a bit scared about .874D Rallies as I'll have to try to play better and not trust on infinite respawns when I badly lead my squad to their deaths.

7. I like defending FOBs so i like - the more the merrier, plus it's nice when you find and destroy an enemy one (no change to the points/spawning on FOBs?).

8. I rarely want/get a medic if the squad is under strength, besides hard to find one most of the time so good.

9. More CO love can only be good, and now they can play PR on the Laptop we should get lots of CO's. Mutiny system is fine shame the CO can't mutiny against bad SL's though (Joke).

The only problem is I have to go and be nice to my family (wife mainly) next weekend so please don't bring it out then....

I think they should have released 0.9 and done the RP beta with that version since the 0.9 changes already change the game a lot. I just hope that the death of RPs doesn't destroy insurgency. Even with less caches, some of the maps like Korengal are already hard enough. All the other changes look good though, especially the CO changes.

Nothing "forces players" to play a certain way, which is exactly my point. Players still play the way they want to at the end of the day which is why I see some problems with the RP changes.

Ok, you got me ;) . My pulse must have doubled for a few seconds there. I just scrolled to the top of the page as fast as I could and hit the 'Downloads' button. Now my legs are shaking from the adrenaline rush :grin: .
