Use the torrent files instead.
If you use torrents, it's 100% certain that yours files won't be corrupt.
You can also pause your download or shut off your computer and start downloading from were you left off before.

I have been waiting a LONG time for this, and it looks like you guys did a great job with it. Its unfortunate that out of the 20 hours of failed map loadings, laggy gameplay, and changing every possible setting available I've got to play a total of 5 minutes. I love PR and wish I could take part in this mod but I have to give up on it. I barely have time as it is to play and if I have spend my few free moments to do cold shutdowns and loading a map just to have it lock up or lag out and load it again for a few seconds of game time I'll have to find something else to do with my time. I've never ever had one trouble what so ever with any of the mods except this one and I don't know if I have the patience to try to get this thing running. I hope its something on my end (although my computer is 100% capable) and not with the mod itself because I know ALOT of work went into this. I really appreciate what the devs have done and the maps and everything look great, I just have to give up on it. Good job and I wish I could enjoy the fruits of your labor.

That's fine.

It's just that saying 'RIP' implies the mod is dead, which is obviously far from reality.

When the feedback forums reopen you can elaborate why you think it's 'complete BS' now.

Look at the changelog:

What exactly were you expecting? A new engine?

The US Army kit geometries are completely different.

I accidentally double posted, so I just wrote 'Double post.' and made the text gray.

Indeed, some don't realize the value of elaboration and a constructive approach.

Yes there some problems, but imo thats to be expected with a release of this scale.

Watch a clip from say 0.4 then one from 0.9 and think good thoughts about the effort that has gone into the last 5 versions and patches.

Amen. I for one applaud the fantastic effort the PR dev-team has put into 0.9.

Thank you!

I love PR, I don't play anything else.

Since PR 0.9 like another poster 10 minutes of gameplay with three hours of lowering settings, switching off X fire, twin screen, reloading pb.exe setup etc etc,so far I am at three evenings spent tweaking/trolling forums and Mumbling with my Pr colleagues.

I will continue for two more nights whilst recording (on paper) what resolves or not any issues.

I am laggy, with frequent CTDs now, I will perseviere a few nights, then if no luck with great sadness I have no choice but to quit.

As another poster my machine should handle PR no problems Vista 32 2.6Ghz Nvidia 9600GT 4mB RAM etc.....

Once I have researched more I will ofc post in more depth about my findings. :(

To be positive the tiny bit of playing I could enjoy before CTDing or lagging out was great!

Look at the changelog:
what have changed in a list and what have changed in reality? only the look.......you dont need a 0.9 for this......0.88 would have been better!
The US Army kit geometries are completely different.
look at the pictures in the preview and than in game.
What exactly were you expecting? A new engine?
in general not...........but they have changed a lot in flying and driving vehicles which makes it completely laggy and the fun is gone! choppers are unfortunatly fast now and the cars.............HOLY SH*T!!! such BS !!!! in 0.87 there were much more comfortable to ride!!

The list is everything that has changed since 0.87 'in reality'. Obviously you still haven't read it.
Psseg wrote:only the look.......you dont need a 0.9 for this......0.88 would have been better!
Only the look? Are you kidding me?

0.9 was a major update you just fail to realize it, 0.88 would only be appropriate for a small patch like 0.86 and 0.87 were.
Psseg wrote:look at the pictures in the preview and than in game.
Yeah? They're the same. I bet you're looking at the wrong faction.
Psseg wrote:in general not...........but they have changed a lot in flying and driving vehicles which makes it completely laggy and the fun is gone!
The flying physics are basically the same, as you would know if you actually bothered to read the changelog.

Some vehicles now have acceleration delay, they're deliberately coded that way. It's not 'completely laggy' it has nothing to do with network synchronization. Obviously it doesn't ruin the fun for the rest of us, more people are playing PR then ever.
Psseg wrote:choppers are unfortunatly fast now
The Huey has actually been slowed down, only 0.87 chopper that's faster is the Mi8 but it was too slow before. The Chinook is brand new and it's meant to be fast like it is in real life. There's nothing 'unfortunate' about it.
Psseg wrote:and the cars.............HOLY SH*T!!! such BS !!!! in 0.87 there were much more comfortable to ride!!
Comfortable to ride? What are you talking about, you're sitting still on a chair using a computer.

They have to be some of the silliest complaints I've ever seen on these forums.
