Hopefully I'm not dragging anyone away from having fun in this thread, but do any of us really think that the View Distances were the ultimate fix to the lag problems in 0.9? I mean, I haven't played it yet with my new Graphics card, but I think that something else caused it and the change was a primitive measure so they could find out the real culprit/have time to fix that problem. But would keeping it be really worth it? Cause I'm hearing it only improved most map performance by maybe 5 FPS, and I'm only seeing that on less powerful rigs. I'd like to see it expanded further in the future for realism.

I'm just really pissed about the 200m firebase rule. Only thing wrong for me with .91.

I agree with wilkinson, the 200m rule is pretty much anathema to good gaming. I honestly don't see why it's necessary for there to be FOB placement restrictions at all, hopefully it will be done away with next time.

Yes and no, as far as I see. Some maps had their view distance up a bit higher than they should have for the type of map/static quantity. But, there are also other possibilities the team is currently looking into.
Maybe once we find the real culprit we can bump back the distance, who knows.

just two things that annoy me most. first of all is the new view distance. i dont understand why it was reduced, it doesent improve smoothness at all, it just takes away that long range firefight aspect that i love about PR.
Second is the fact that you cant build FOB's near the edge of the map, i just cant see any point in that at all, bye bye hidden FOB i guess.
on the bright side we get cool blue aim markers for the C7 YAY!
one more thing, could you please remove the HUGE U.S. advantage on every U.S. map please?

Can you try and note down what is happening whenever you experience a CTD and see if there are any common issues that could be affecting it in 0.91?
