I believe [R-DEV]UK_FORCE works at that base and he's the one that pretty much got it all sorted out. Of course thats just from what I've heard, we'd need a DEV to confirm that.

You didn't wear ear protection and heard cannon fire at 50 meter? You didn't become deaf did you? Or you're just kidding?

There are tonns of videos of howitzers firing with people next to it without any kind of ear protection except opened mouth/finger in the ear, why are you surprised?

Well did they at least put their finger in the ear? The second picture, that person, I suppose is tank crew from the helmet. Doesn't those helmet include ear protection on that bulky part of the ear?

Edit:
I mean... Are you really from russia? If so have you had alot of chance to go around firing cannons and guns? My perception was that persons hearing can easily get damaged from firearms. In almost all gun range ear and eye protection is must even for handgun. So I thought if you hear cannon fire 50 meter in front of you with no ear protection that can be deafening.

It will i guess, if you tie it tightly, but pretty much nobody wear it like that, sou can regard it as a usual cap

I doubt Drav was lying on the engine compartment of CR2 :-P

I've stood 50-100m away from similar setup:

Had no problems, and you can hear those salvos even 15km away.

I'll see if i can find a video of person passing by next to firing tank, he does get, hmm, astonished, but continues his way afterwards.

I have been @ 20m of a M777 battery firing no ears & eyes, later that days have been @ less than 50m of couple of Leo1C2 firing + all the LAV25/3 that where firing 25mm, the F18 M61 vulcan going off, Mk82 drop, plus countless of 5.56 and 7.62 crack and i have no probleme at all :P

Wow, that firing vid blew my ears! I love it, now I know how that sound sounds. What that punch is like. Awesome.

You guys had some amazing microphones there.

I love the organic sound of the landrover, the APCs though could use some gear shifting.

Of all the things I've seen been done for this mod this is absolutely the most impressive. Very nice job. I'm really looking forward to experience these sounds in game.
Peace is that brief glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading
