Got in it, pressed 7, fired, nothing... Oddly enough, it is invisible most of the time.[R-DEV]AfterDune wrote:prbot4 is the one with all the firepower

Aye. Think it was the weapon slot no. 4 that caused multiple cases of PTSD in the team

Unlikely as an "Area Attack" no but some jets do now have 2000lb bombs which is the same size of bomb as the old "JDAM Area Attack": Laser-guided, state-of-the-art! - Project Reality Forums

Re: Ask the [DEV]s a (?) - Part 2
I've been thinking about a 32 players counter-terrorist game mode for PR that would take place in a shopping centre ... So before I continue to develop the game rules, could you devs tell me how friendly is PR with the 1-big-building maps ?
I must say I've never seen any big building with a complexe interior architecture such as a shopping centre in PR. I believe the only big one I can remember is the parking garage in Dovre. However it's still far from the shopping centre size I have in mind.
Has this kind of map actually already been thought about ?

Re: Ask the [DEV]s a (?) - Part 2
the closest we have come to that is a little mappack by R-DEV Matrox including a map that is just the submarine base iirc
I never played it
I'm sure it would be fun if the building is large enough and there aren't too many players, although I doubt there are the statics avaliable for a shopping center per se.

Yea it might not be a shopping centre overall but mostly a mix of different kind of industrial buildings, shops etc. It'll surely not look consistent but the point is to make something playable and interesting.
Thanks for the heads up I'll take a look at this (hoping the maps still work with 1.0).

There is the subpen map and deagle map that was released,

That would be a good start.

I actually think that'd be a decent idea for an unofficial minimod for very small skirmishes, like 8v8. For when you want to play PR, but can't get in a decent squad on a populated server, or for LANs.

BF2 had a "map" called Iron Gator where the whole thing was an enterable aircraft carrier, right? If I remember correctly, it wasn't very popular because it was a spam fest.

People loved it back in the day from what I see, if it were to be remade in PR, I think the grenade spam would be much less. Chances are, it will bounce back and kill half your squad. Good ARF map (Somali Pirates raiding the Essex )?'[R-DEV wrote:AFsoccer;2000601']BF2 had a "map" called Iron Gator where the whole thing was an enterable aircraft carrier, right? Iron Gator - Battlefield Wiki - Battlefield 4, Battlefield 3, Weapons, Levels, Maps, Characters and more!
BTW: Have you guys ever thought of using that Essex model instead?

yes, it would use a hell of alot of resources completely unnecessary on most mapsBTW: Have you guys ever thought of using that Essex model instead?
Iron Gator will never be in the main PR build, but I'm sure people would have a good time if it was uploaded for skirmishes etc.

Instead of a shopping center, you could try making a marketplace or something. I think there would be enough statics for that.
