Anyone have any solutions to this problem. all i get are my mic sounds no matter what settings i try .![]()
Alter your sound settings in control panel, easiest thing to do first is unmute everything and keep looking for extra volume sliders not normally displayed.
An alternative utility to use is hypercam 2

well you know whats wierd i load up pr in the server browser and there is sound effects recording .As soon as i load the map it mutes my in line sound bar and switches to mic so i mute the mic and uncheck the voip in the sound settings and it still mutes the inline volume bar so i'am stumped as to whats going on .Sabre_tooth_tigger wrote:Alter your sound settings in control panel, easiest thing to do first is unmute everything and keep looking for extra volume sliders not normally displayed.

I have onboard sound, and before I had this problem, but I am not sure if it was a new version of fraps, sound drivers or maybe windows vista, but I am using vista 64, and I get perfect sound, not from my mic, but from the game.NickO wrote:Im guessing you are using your onboard soundcard.
99% of the time to be able to record both ingame and yourself I have noticed a newly purchased xfi soundcard is a must.

Well I have an xfi sound card and when i ran xp i could record sound with no problems ever since i got vista 64 i could no longer record in game sounds, i believe it has to do with the sound mixer there are some post on this and they say that you have to view all connected devices but when i do this nothing shows up .[R-CON]Alex6714 wrote:I have onboard sound, and before I had this problem, but I am not sure if it was a new version of fraps, sound drivers or maybe windows vista, but I am using vista 64, and I get perfect sound, not from my mic, but from the game.
I've been searching out a solution to this problem with no luck , its very strange because when i log on and at the menu screen if I record i get all the sound effects recorded as soon as i load a map and start recording it some how defaults back to the mic and all i get are mic sounds .
Next i disabled voip thinking maybe it would help still does the same thing plus i've tried just about every setting in vista , line in, what you hear, etc and still can get no in game sounds recorded.
