Okay I see what you mean now. I'll make the K98 act like this in PR:WW2, but I don't know how the other DEVS will feel about the other weapons.

Afaik to operate the K-98's bolt you had to "un-sight" the weapon in order to operate it since the bolt would otherwise hit you in the face, where the Enfield had an angle bolt which could be operated while still sighted in (although our animation should possibly have less movement of the weapon when operating the bolt).

I think all bolt action rifles should be unzoomed when shot, so you can take a shot and move quickly. Also bolt it while walking.

I'm against that. I HATE it when I have to sight back in after each shot. Of course the animation has to zoom out, but I love it when it zooms back in after.

But AfterDune have you never died because of the bolt animation keeping you from moving? It's so difficult to engage a target and then grab cover when you're forced to do it at a snails pace.

may be possible to set the rifles up with manual reload so you aren't force to work the bolt after firing and can unscope, move/reload or stay sighted in and reload? Not sure how many players would like that :p

We do have one with the siren plus the sound of bombs when they fall. It's some scary *** shit! But Stukas weren't used on U.S. forces except some rare occasions, we would need a Russian front map or North Africa to use them.

You can see that planes are very WIP, such as the sounds and the controls (The BF109 always pulls downward for some reason).

Are there going to be alternate kits like there are in vanilla PR? Like if you wanted to get a Thompson, do you get to choose between a 30 round mag version and a drum magazine version?

Yes, you will be able to choose STD/ALT kits, just like in vanilla PR :) . Some kits will have a different main weapon, other kits will have the same main weapon, but have other differences. We've changed the weapon images accordingly, so when you choose STD/ALT, the weapon images will change.

Like this (old image, but you get the idea):
