You don't know how CAS markers can be inacurate? Look at something 800 meters away and try putting the CAS marker on it without moving your mouse at all. Your marker will be at least 300 meters away from it at best. Many times the will also land like 2-03 grids away from the actual point you're aiming at. Yet, I still fail to see how it is easier to find a CAS marker on the map (even if it would be 100% accurate) than to find a certain grid. I mean, think about it. Someone says "Enemy tank lased C3kp6" so you press M. The target is in the C row, so it must be on the west side of the map. It's also in number 3 row so it must be on the north. Then you quickly count 3 grids from left and 3 grids from top. Keypad six, ok so it's on the east side of that grid, above that ridgeline. And there you go, voila, you now have the exact same thing as if you had a CAS marker on the map.

Only if the people placing them don't know how to do it properly :)

It's where your legs are facing that the marker will go, not where your head is facing :)

Most people don't know the trick of setting the distance, moving their WASD keys, then setting marker. Grids or markers are just as good, the main thing is the person behind the intel knowing what to do. Like the person knowing when to lase, not to hold left click, or that the cas marker isn't the lase.

'KillJoy[Fr wrote:;1570287']The pilots are not wrong , in the real life the pilots engage only confirmed targets by the ground troops when its possible or their asking the permission to engage and make a low pass to spot targets its SUICIDAL
Not true, ingame atleast.
Idk if you are talking about helis or jets but some people manage to fly around and kill stuff without getting any intel at all..and still stay alive

tip: put a move marker where/what you laze, check your map for distance quick... get your radio out out and setup a distance, after you setup a distance do 1 step forward/backward.... now you shut be able to put cas marker/icons on a exact location within a few meters around it. if u dont do 1 step forward or backwards.. your marker/icon will be way to much off point..

this tip is for the ones that don't know... so not for the ones that know it already !
