that Eotech looks sexy, I love you guys
Information in the hands of a critical thinker is invaluable, information alone is simply dangerous.

Re: Weapons Update
May not be possible with the engine, if it isnt then disregard.
But you guys have found ways around other things so ill ask anyway.
Is it at all possible to do something similar to what is in the following pics.
First one is to try and simulate the left eye being closed when using iron sights (seeing as all the units ingame are right dominate), to bring in the lack of periphial vision that you get. (Shape of the black might not be 100% i just knocked it out quick in photoshop and I didnt make it solid black to kinda give you some vision out that side to try to simulate a quick open/shut of the left eye)

Second is for the Aimpoint's etc. that can be operated with both eyes open, a slight blurring of the edges but still greater periphial vision.
![Image](http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y122/sabretron/AP.jpg)
Just an idea to try and bring in what gives Aimpoint's and similar optics and advantage over iron's for some situations.
But as I said i'm not sure whether it's possible with the engine, I dont know much about the BF2 engine.

Its a good idea, however the first example's covered area wouldn't be that prominent. Perhaps for gameplay purposes the edges of the screen could be blackened.Sabre-Oz wrote:May not be possible with the engine, if it isnt then disregard.

The bridge of the nose would also be showing, along with the end of the nose itself, plus this isn't taking into account the ballistic glasses etc. that the US Army wears, or the Insurgents' shemaghs.
I'm not sure if PR properly represents the human FOV, either.

Re: Weapons Update
Yeah I understand that is the preferred due to the fatigue and balance etc., however I guess the idea came from a longer range point of view and the temporary 'squint' some people use for a better focus, was simply an idea to try and seperate the whole reflex sight/iron sight thing and possibly the black was too much, maybe just a more blurry look to show more a focus, just throwing ideas out.
EDIT: Yeah good points dtacs, like i said the shape etc. was just quick, and yeah I think someone said something about the POV not being excatcly accurate to try and simulate our periphial vision, so it's probably another thing that doesn't make it really work.

Re: Weapons Update
I honestly don't mean to be a ******, but I have gripes with the reloading animation of the sniper rifle.
In the animation, he picks up the weapon and moves it to **** it. Perhaps it's just a vBF2 3p animation thing, but a sniper would never break his firing position like that between shots.
Otherwise, cool.

Re: Weapons Update
The only sniper weapon (and for that matter any bolt action weapon) that has custom 3p animations is the SSGP1.it's just a vBF2 3p animation thing

Impossible to, until the next few years when full peripheral vision LCD's are developed. BF2 doesn't support more than one monitor so technically you only have a tiny field of view. Just have to look forward to the future!

Re: Weapons Update
v0.91 was just a bugfix kind of update, you'll have to wait for 0.92 for new assets and such, according to the DEVsebevan91 wrote:So are these in v0.91?

Re: Weapons Update
These look great, especially the EOTech. Finally some CQB combat for the Canadians that isn't spray and pray. Can't wait to see the scoped PKM, scoped RPG-7, ironsight T88, and a SV-98.
