You called Smeg? Sorry, I couldn't resist.
Two quick ones for today.
Tactical Gamer - Kashan Desert - M.E.C.
Joined Portable.Cougar's infantry squad at the beginning of the round. After a little bit of squabbling over assets, we loaded up in Rudd's BMP-3 and moved to South Bunker.
Once South Bunker was capped, we all piled back into Rudd's IFV and headed off to the east entrance of the bunker complex to check for enemies. As we approached North Bunker, we found it totally abandoned.
However, we soon took fire from the northern most bunker as enemy infantry began to pour into the complex from the northern entrance. They were all hunkered down inside of the bunker.
With myself guarding the hangar entrance, the rest of my squad assaulted and successfully cleared out the bunker of hostiles. We soon capped North Bunker and were preparing to once again load up in Rudd's IFV.
Before we could mount though, we noticed enemies constructing emplacements on the hill directly north of the bunker complex.
At this time, I asked Cougar if I could grab a sniper rifle to engage the enemies; he agreed.
With an enemy H-AT and TOW active on the hill, our BMP was essentially obsolete until the threat was neutralized. I saw the H-AT creeping up the ridge to try and get a visual on Rudd, so I took him down along with the TOW.
At this point, my squad loaded up in Rudd's IFV to assault the FOB while I provided support. Once they got to the ridgeline, things started to get a little hairy.
Enemy armor was massing to the north, counterattacking their now destroyed FOB. Rudd was stuck in the crossfire and was destroyed. Our squad led a hasty retreat back into the bunkers.
As we were retreating, we started to take enemy sniper and automatic rifleman fire from the mountain east of the bunker complex. With a couple well placed rounds, they went down.
Cougar called in for a helicopter extraction to take us to South Outpost. Once we arrived, we built up a FOB for the future assault on the flag. We also met up with Rudd again and he took us to the ridges north and east of North Village.
While friendlies capped the flag, our squad along with Rudd's IFV provided overwatch. Enemy armored units and logistic trucks started to depart their main, only to be met by lethal sniper and H-AT fire. We held our ground until South Outpost went neutral.
At this point, our squad started to move closer to their main to unleash an area attack. I stepped up as CO to drop the JDAM via Cougar's request. Unfortunately, they were bleeding heavily and Cougar was having trouble marking the target. The round ended right after I accepted his area attack request.
For a round of Kashan, it was quite short due to squad and team coordination, as well as planning and executing orders to their max effect.

I'm not going to go into too much detail as I joined more than half-way through the round, and aside from our squad, the team wasn't all that great.
Anyways, I squaded up with some of the crew of TF21. To be more precise, HellHound and CoronadoSEAL.
We had a FOB set up north of South Village where all the action was taking place. Coronado was SL and was attempting to get our team organized and coordinated by marking targets, specifically an enemy FOB and its accompanying emplacements, on the mountain east of South Village.
We had been taking enemy sniper fire from the radio antenna situated west of South Village ever since I started hoofing my way to his position. HellHound and I decided enough was enough and went to silence the sniper.
Unfortunately, someone beat us to him, leaving his precious rifle lying limp on the ground. I scooped that bad boy up and went to work. However, we could still hear sniper rounds to our south. With a quick glance over the ridge, the source of the shots revealed to us another enemy sniper.
I put my crosshairs over the target and waited for HellHound to get into a position where he could knick the kit once the sniper had been eliminated. Once receiving the word, I squeezed the trigger and sent a round into that poor soldier's cranium.
HellHound snatched up his prize, and the rest is history. He and I went on a shooting rampage, taking down targets at the enemy FOB east of South Village and also at South Bunker whilst Coronado moved in to try and capture the flag on foot.
The round ended right as we set up at a new position overlooking yet another enemy FOB on the road southwest of South Village, chalk full of enemies.
