Waiting 20min for Apache to spawn. Last Flag is getting capped. I think "o well let's just fly there as fast as possible it's all over if we don't kill them" Obvious and slow chopper is slow and obvious. APC shoots us down, no kills. Team manages to get the flag. Round is going to run for at least 2h. Waiting another 30min. Realizing it's not gonna spawn anymore. Ragequit of shame.

First time playing Insurgency, I decided (after going like 0-11) to try out the Collaborator or whatever the civilian is called... so, I am trying my best to get shot, and the squad firing at me finally stops when they realize I am just Joe Hadji the Hotdog Vendor with a cellphone.

So, some Brit cruises by me and starts laying down fire on the side street. So, of course, I start bouncing rocks off his face. As he turns and sprints at me, I see the zipties in the same moment I remember the whole "arrest" thing. Dead. Black Screen. And then the jerk adds insult to injury with a "Thanks, mate".

The biggest fail I've ever experienced was this one time on Operation Archer when a friendly sniper TK'd our entire squad... twice.

Probably when I was in a T90 on Silent Eagle and a friendly T90 fired an ATGM up my *** and then finished me and my driver off with a HEAT shell after we bailed.

We don't play on the 128 server anymore.

Yesterday on Kokan we were defending cache around H3 (I think) I got out of the walls with LAT to ambush the LAV in another angle so I went closer to their base with a destroyed LAV providing cover, after 5m I stop watching W (their main + Firebase) and watch E (our cache) in that moment I hear movement behind me I quickly move to the knife and the Canadian just walk by me, probably even said "Good Day Sir" in mumble.
Killed him, saw the rest of the SQ on the walls prepared the RPG...aimed... IEDed

I too was quite surprised he didn't notice. Apparently he was so excited over finding 3 (or was it 4?) prime targets that he failed to see that they were friendly. He apologized profusely though.

How did you manage to get shot by a single sniper anyway?

Great topic. Sadly I have a few, but here's a couple of the more recent ones:

1. I was flying a Huey on the German side during a round of Silent Eagle. Our team was about to capture Missile Silo, and I was circling with a squad of infantry aboard, ready to drop them on the Russian Airfield as soon as the flag was up. After a few minutes of waiting our team finished capping the Silo, so I put the hammer down. I was flying fast and low, dodging between the trees and having a great time. We were coming in on the west side of the airstrip, and I was just starting to flare for landing when I went just a little out of bounds and found an invisible wall the hard way.

2. This one happened during a clan match on Iron Eagle. We'd had a solid early game, but we'd made some mistakes in the later game and were really starting to hurt for tickets. I was spotting for the mortars, so I was out front with an Officer kit when I spied an enemy T-72 on this long sloping hill. There was no one else around and our Jets were down, so I ran a quarter klick back to one of our dead FOBs, grabbed a HAT kit, and ran back. It was a long distance shot, but I lined it up carefully and pulled the trigger. The missile flew straight and true, but the tank's engine cranked over just as I fired, and the distance gave him just enough time to roll away. The missile passed harmlessly behind him, and he drove off none the wiser. Seconds later we lost that match 0 to 1.

Playing insurgency as taliban. Never really used the bomb car very much, blow up US guys in Hummer near cache building....Blew up the cache, learned the hard way that bomb cars can blow up the cache even when it's inside.

Worst fail was on Fallujah.

I was Insurgent with a RPG kit and was stalking a LAV that was parked on the road providing cover for foot troops. I crawled up to it and it was parked there for a good 2 minutes without moving so I was able to crawl literally right next to it.

I loaded the RPG and crouched up and aimed, I shot and ducked right away so they wouldn't see me but in doing so, I missed from 5 meters away. LAV quickly fired up, rolled back to base and I got shot from some infantry.

Once I died whoever killed me laughed at me as he was watching me when I lined up the shot and missed.

I haven't used an RPG since, lol

RPG's aren't exactly subtle when fired, I think they may have figured out you where there either way, but lol man unlucky

well i was in the attack huey on pavlovsky bay with my squadmate lazing for me
i am usualy flying the huey as trans but this time i was waiting for the supercobra to come up... so we thaught until then we will kick some *** with the cas huey... so i take off get some altidude like around 1000... got a call that the Church has a lot of inf and armor around so i am diving from 1000 alt straight nose down ( i thaught i was in the supercobra ) )) I see a MTLB and a LOT OF IN around the Church.. and right when i am about to fire my hydras i start realizing that i am in the CAS HUEY instead of SUPER COBRA and as everybody knows you will never get your huey nose up again and i crash straight nearby those enemies
i think i was a bit 2 stoned

hmm, i think it got changed in 0.97 .... in the past i couldn't pull my nose up but now i joined a local server, went 1400, fired all my rockets, and easly went off the dive... I dunno....
