I tried to make a point about it when World Cup started but was largely ignored. Thanks god that at least you noticed it as I find it corrupted and not transparent enough.

I mentioned it here: https://www.realitymod.com/forum/f376-p ... ost1532379
BloodyDeed wrote:I remember this discussion when Team Swasiland wanted to join.
Especially the point that you allowed Team Europe to join and refused Team Swasiland is kinda unfair.
The second point is, Team Europe looks pretty much full, so the original idea that people without an own team can join doesnt work anymore.
Kain888 wrote:Yes, it's coalition of players who made team to avoid WC requirements and made dream team to win. In my knowledge and opinion it has nothing to do with letting people without their country into WC, it's more like sport club playing in World Cup with already filled players before even sign-up started. That's why I don't play or want to have anything with this World Cup - I fail to see any sportmanship, fun and respect for others in this kind of tactics.

and why isnt silly allowed to create his own team? it is like:
call it "team north america" and you have a new team...
Silly_Savage wrote:I don't get it.

It's not "Team Europe" it's "Team L4gi"!

The team was organised by L4gi months before signups opened, which is highly unfair and elitist.

Savage you're so right it's unbelievable.
Why are players joining Team Europe when there are already teams in place for their respective countries?

I thought Team Europe was established for those players whose countries are not represented?

It all just seems very hypocritical to me.

Is Team Europe just an excuse for players looking to play with their friends? If so, then why was my sign-up thread deleted?

I'll try and dig it up again... Ah, here it is:

Not trying to be a downer, I just hope someone gets my point...
StatusRed wrote:@ Rudd

The problem is when a team that should be used for those who don't have their own team is organised months in advance, with only those who are "in" the crowd get a place.

Meaning people who want to sign up because they don't have their own team can't. It's deeply unfair and shouldn't be allowed. It's good that I've heard some reassurance that this won't be allowed next year :)
i understand everyone quoted above.

BUT: you should know how difficult it could be to make sure this player is polish, that is german, ect.... its almost impossible to manage this in the interwebzz

next year, may u should think about this:
BloodyDeed wrote:If you want a tournament like this you shouldnt promote it as "world cup". Call it pr clan tournament or w/e.
But anyway, thanks for organizing, I hope we will experience some great matches like last year ;)
and now think about the positive aspects of the prwc. organisated teamplay!

cheers,

Guys, just because someone made a team beforehand doesn't mean all of their players will get in. It's first come first serve. So if 50 random people sign up for Team EU before all their "Assigned" players do they have to deal with it.

Team Swaziland was removed because the admin team had send a PM to the Commander to consider a name change to something more suiting their describtion like The German Coalition or Germanians, but the commander never replied and after the initial signup never looked back at the forums. So he was removed.

Also there's 2 French commanders playing for a Francophone faction whilst there is a French seperate faction .. Is that allowed because by your reason aka saying Russians/Finnish/British aren't allowed to sign up for Team Europe because there's already a team for their respective country.

Who cares really, at one point there was both a Team Poland and a Team Poland-Hungary, Team Poland resigned before the WC started though, but both were allowed to play.

Quit the discussions, also how about some of you that disagree or some of you that don't see why it happens this way, join the admin team? The admin team lacks quite some people. We need more people whether you help us now, or next year.
K4on wrote: last PRWC preogranisation was better in my eyes too. there were no premade teams...
Lulz, wrong. Teams like Team Finland, Team Oceania and Team Britain already had set up their teams on private forums etc.

The main part was to try and not exclude anyone, and heck. Even a team called Leftovers might have made it through. But if Silly had named his team the EU/NA Coalition instead of being an obvious troll who knows..

No Max, that's not true. I'll quote what L4gi said on the WC forum:
L4gi wrote:Team is kinda full atm. Contact me on xfire and ill have a look what I can do.
And no, that isn't the most recent application. That post was before others who are "already in" applied.

Secondly, people do care because some players now will not be able to participate in the tournament, even though they'd of liked to because of the way "Team Europe" has been unfairly organised.

Calling it "shit" out of the words of an WC admin removes any need of a discussion even on the worldcup forum at all. You should be open for critisism and not offensive.
I respect every person working for this mod and love to see things like this getting realized but its moving in the wrong direction. My final words to that discussion...

The issue here is that some want to play for the competitiveness and defend their own colors (even if it's a coalition). At the end we could take a look at the rankings and have an idea where countries or regions fair in skills, competence and teamwork.

However, WC admins (or whoever organized this) thought it would be better to prioritize fun for more members of the community than the typical format.

I'm ok with both views, but I have to admit that I'm turned off with this tournament. With no rule regarding nationality discrimination, it takes away all the seriousness in it for me.

Me and my friend tried joining Team Russia. But when my friend signed up, the Team Russia commander told him its full and that he should go on Team Russian Coalition. So I sent him a pm and he said "We Dont know you guys, try joining russian coalition", who the fuck is we? So I know there is elitism going on here, so I joined the Coalition team. But I dont care, I just want to have fun and play in professional surrounding unlike some servers today, not gonna mention names. Besides, whats the point of being elitist here if you're not getting anything if you win? Its pathetic. So just play for fun. I can bet I'm a better player than their commander :D and I've seen him in action. But w/e .

BTW, referring to Nebsif's post. Why is there no Israel team? I've seen lots of players from Israel that play.

callin it "shit" doesn't make this better... as an prwc admin u should be more open for criticism and not beeing offensive against other peoples opinions...

He is not lying, but he's not correct either. His pre-set team is full.. but note that his pre-set Team Europe still has to sign up as any other, the same goes for all pre-set teams.
Britain, Oceania and Finland also have pre set teams, but if someone random that was not accepted into the team signs up before someone who did sign up for the pre-set team he will still be in.

Just because you pick a select group of individuals as a commander doesn't mean all of them will get in, or that the admin team will lock your team from signups. All the teams get signups, and for all teams first come first serve rule applies.

However when signing up regions are to be taken into account. Germans go to the Germans, Europeans go to the Europeans or any of their respective country's team etc.

Btw the quote, I fixed what you referred to.
