This was a while ago but me and my squad got pinned down on the mountain ridges below the castle on operation archer the firefight lasted for about 40min with literally almost uninterrupted gunfire. We were walking up to castle at the base of the mountain when we spotted a single taliban grenadier above us we did bounding overwatch to cover giving each other covering fire.we exchanged fire with the "lone" taliban for a few seconds until he got reinforcements so we just decided to disengage and try to close in on them going up the mountain.

While we were going up a 2 man squad had snuck up behind them and took them out, so we just kept going up the mountain when suddenly and new cache appears north of our position and gunfire erupts from the cache loacation all of it directed towards us. It felt as if we were taking on the whole team because we were taking pkm/ak fire, hmg fire, and rpg's that wouldn't stop coming we got pinned down.we all used the little rock out crops on one of the ridges on the mountain we did a peeling movement to keep going up the hill to get a better vantage point. Peeling is when you set up in a line and lay down fire while taking turns running past each other sideways.

While doing this we got our first casualties with surprisingly accurate fire from almost 500meters away. We got everyone back up got and peeled to the highest ridge possible were we got pinned down. 20min of constant fighting have happened so far. We decided to keep our position there to draw the enemy's fire while the rest of our team flanked their north with apc support.5 more min of constant fighting pass by when an rpg kills 2 of our guys we decided that they should spawn to bring up one of the canadian vehicles with a saw mounted on top w/extra ammo.

They drove up there and the fight continued, we knew were causing havoc on the enemy because instead of calling their mortar strike down on the rest of our team to their north they decided to call them down on us (this was before player controlled mortars). Luckily they landed on top of the castle behind us. The fighting continued for 15 more min until our team got the cache. Throughout the whole thing though were taking rpg's, ak/pkm/and hmg fire. The best firefight i ever had.

been some pretty epic moments, can't choose thebest tbh

but had a good one last night

a round of burning sands culminated in a 12 man infantry assault on teh airport bunker via the terminal supported by a Challenger 2, scimitar and panther.

With the amount of fire my squad was putting down the other squad got in pretty fast, then the tank moves to teh front of the bunker and the rest was inevitable.

Had a fight back in like... 0.8 or something, when Muttrah was pretty new. Our USMC squad took up residence in a T-building somewhere in the center of town and spent the better part of an hour holding it down. The building let us cover three of the North-South running roads and we pretty much halted enemy movement through there.

Got some problems from a sniper in the Minaret at one point, and we used every weapon we could get our hands of to try to deal with him: SAW, M203, AT-4 - at that range we had nothing that could touch him. Things with the sniper began to get desperate as he prevented us from engaging enemies approaching our building, but I got word the Cobra was up and I lazed the top of the minaret. Thirty seconds later a Hellfire streaks in and hits the tower, followed by rockets and guns.

Unfortunately the MEC had advanced past our position and we were needed further North. So as an enemy squad assaulted the lower floors, we had a Littlebird (Yes, this was so far back that there were Littlebirds on Muttrah) extract us from the roof. I distinctly recall everyone throwing out every smoke grenade they owned, and myself standing on the roof with my rifle trained on the staircase, counting each friendly soldier as they came up to board the helo. We had about a 30 second flight to gather our wits before the bird dropped us off 20m from an enemy squad.

korengal valley! we played as US. i had 8 soldier (2x4SQD) under my command and we tried an atk on the known. the cache was pretty much in the center of the map close to the road which is connecting the northern part of the map with the southern one. we had 2 SAW's and 1 grenadier with us. the pointman got pinned by a PKM so we started to return fire and it turned into madness. they flanked, we flanked it was just intense man. but i had to bull back simply cause we had no ammo left, with 2 guys wounded on the ground. that cache defence was awesome.

Had one yesterday, on Jabal Al Burj. Me and my sq were fighting over the hill west of dam for like 30-40 min. Think our sq had like 20-7 after that fight. Then we got bored and moved to Jabal and won.

A little while back when the NWA server had shared mumble channels i had one of my most awesome moments ever on Muttrah city. I was playing on the MEC side with my friend SRF CopyCat and just for the lulz we went spec ops style with the crewman kit MP5!!!!

So we get a report about 2 enemy squad's holding out inside the mosque and crazy as we are we start walking. We choose to take the entry point from coastal road since they probably wont be watching that way. We get to the door and sneak in with our Mp5's clearing left and right without finding anyone. All of a sudden we get contacts up the stairs and after a intense firefight for about 5 min we stand there with me on 8 kills and him with 5 kills and a cleared mosque. 2 sek after that i hear one of the Nwa admins talk to us using mumble that he was going to get us banned for cheating and that the proof was going to be battle recorder. "The admin was one of the squad leaders we killed"

Ofc we never got any ban because cheating is for kids that cant play :)

During the 256 CnC player event, we had two squads (12 people each) set up a massive FOB on a hill.

While building 2 or 3 HMGs, someone spotted a contact off into the distance. That contact turned out to be two entire squads, a bmp, and a btr. We began to engage with TOW rockets flying every direction, with green tracers zipping by our heads. We had no armour support within 2km and we had to defend our only FOB.

The entire engagement lasted around 30 minutes because we were engaging at 400-500m (view distance was 1km). The long range meant that all weapons had to aim up to compensate for bullet drop. But it looked insanely epic. :D

The best firefights happen when the firebases of the opposite factions are around 6-800 meters away from each other. Meaning you spawn, walk 150m to the front and engage the enemy 2-300m away from you. I especially like it when most of the team is infantry,so you get 15 v 15 infantry firefights....

Wrong. MEC Special Forces mainly use unsuppressed MP5's.

It cannot be proven otherwise :p

I did a perfect extraction of a squad on a rooftop in Muttrah, by the Mosque, and proceeded to drop them towards the eastern edge of the city. It was a perfect rooftop hover and exit.

Only downfall I crashed flying at street level through the town, but it was the PR LAN party a couple of years ago and I was very, very drunk...
