Was playing on BigD 2 playing Battle for Qingling as a Chinese tank squad. With ShocknAWE371 as squad leader. We came over the ridge towards where the town for co-op version of battle of qingling is. I spot a thermal signature just over the hill.

I back up i identify the target as a challenger. I fire a shot hit him in the turret. I tell my gunner to move to dodge the shot. He misses the first shot i fire again hit him in the turret again. Then he hits me and i die with one shot. Bull****

A few seconds later the second tank in my squad shows up they land two more rounds on target and that challenger goes on to kill our second tank.

And a few mins later goes on to kill the attack chopper.
WTF?????

Ok whatever cheat you are using. I'd like to know.

This game happened at around 10:00 PRT

First of all, this is the wrong place. Report possible cheats to server admins, then take it up on the specific servers feedback thread here on the forums.

Now, what you describe I would not say requires any cheats. 1 shot kills in tank vs tank can happen. Especially if the gunner knows what he's doing. In the time that you lost visual on him, he could have pulled back and a second tank could replace him. Or you just missed one of those shots. Far more likely than some cheat that I've yet to see on a game engine I've played for 6 years.

The guys who were in Challenger obviously know what the doing, and where to hit your tank...
If u hit Abrams in thingy where driver watching through, you'll destroy it at once...

Is that the only place to get a one hit kill? Because we where side facing so we can move perpendicular to dodge his shells .

sometimes the game bugs alittle, so u cannot know if he dodged the first round he fired at u...sometimes i get hit and i dont even notice...and it depends on where did u hit the challenger...becuase i know that a "Merkava mk.4" can be hit by 2 HAT missles in his rear armor and it will not even smoke so u better aim at the right spot...

Its not even possible with hacks to do more damage then others. It would require a complicated server side hack.

Rather than moan about it, contact the server admins and provide any evidence if you have any. If it is indeed a cheater then they will be banned.

And attack choppers are easy to kill if the pilots aren't using them correctly.

A lot of times people get killed in a tank battle because the gunner accidentally has HEAT rounds active. High Explosive Anti Tank rounds are not neccessarily anti-tank rounds.

Wait, you exposed your side? He hit your side/back then.

yeah intentionally exposing your side wasn't a good move

Also, the PR tanks have soft spots on them where it only takes just one AP or even a HEAT round from a tank main gun to destroy it. Not gonna tell you where though!

Many tanks have 1-hit-kill points, including the Abrams, T72, etc.

If you get one shotted, it's because they know about that point and they hit you in it, or they luckily just found it

maybe he had a repair truck that has deployed a repair station just behind him?

I seem to recall one round I had quite a while back, our tank received something like 6 hits none of which caused considerable damage, and we destroyed maybe 3 enemy tanks in the open with 1 or 2 shots to each. Though we weren't sure whether that was just down to luck or whether they were using HEAT instead of the APFSDS-T rounds.

A lot of it's down to luck, and because of that you can't assume that your shot will destroy them, or that you'll survive the next shot from them. Personally I think tank warfare is a bit flawed because of the lack of a round penetration system and the relatively small map size which means you can either go round one side of the map, or the other.

bingo. Someone obviously doesn't know how PR mechanics are. Obviously a new player that complains on how he died... Learn the ins and outs of PR before you come here whining to us. Most likely the tank shot you in the back, or in the tracks, or in the place where the driver sits.

OT: Quick question, why whenever I mention "PR" does it have a line at the bottom and when I drag my cursor over to it does it say Project Reality? Is that for when people who don't know what the acronym PR stands for or what? Thanks in advance XD

similar thing happened to me put 2 T-72 AP rounds into the back of an abrams on kashan (did nothing not even whit smoke) he turned his turret around and kill me with 1 shot through frontal armor

If you spend your time learning Armour a little better you will understand why you lost that engagement. C2s are very easily one shotted, and the sides (more specifically the tracks) of tanks are very vulnerable. Always use your frontal armor to it's maximum potential, by that I mean the driver should face towards the enemy the first chance he gets. T72s and T90s have a lot of frontal armor and their one shot spot is slightly more difficult to pick out at ranges, while most NATO tanks have fancy optics that can't take more then one solid AP round. Sounds like you got bested by a more experienced crew.
