Is that sound coming because the HE rounds travel slower? Do AT rounds sound the same?

It's the 100mm HE round.

Anyone know why it makes such an odd sound?

It's a low velocity cannon, so I imagine it'd sound different from, say, a tank shell incoming from an M1A2

btw, these were the 2 rounds i recorded....before that, we had tons of rounds flying overhead...but just as we moved out from that location when i started to record, the BMP got killed.

i like the auto cannon sound more, its so awesome, when hear that, you know someone somewhere is getting owned
