So I noticed the other day Afterdune has Project Normandy in his signature. I checked his YouTube channel and now I'm seeing WWII videos. Pretty cool stuff. From my understanding, it seems Afterdune is a big force in the two projects.
So, I was hoping they could enlighten their plans with the two mods so far. If Vietnam will come out before Normandy, if they are updating and working on them back and forth so it might be one or the other, and when will they know the mods will be ready to release for the general public?

'Limeni[BiH wrote:;1684687']Normandy is not a mod, it's just a map for PR, btw its great Afterdune is doing great job. You should do your home work better, research before posting
actually it is a Project Reality mini mod and not just a map so dont try and act clever if you dont know yourself what is going on
as for the development of the mod, the two are very much still alive, there was a PR:V blog/highlight a few weeks ago and the Normandy mod is still in Closed Beta which was also tested a few weeks ago

As for PMing Afterdune, if there is any information that he would be kind enough to let me know - it would be best shared here rather than in private messaging.

I apologize if I don't have your unique and very talented researching skills, as I could not find much information on the matter. I do appreciate your attempt to help and inform me. But that is why I put this thread here, to have the help of others here to enlighten me, which you have done.

Thank you Smiddey.

Actually, to my understanding both are right. Normandy will be just a map (playable in normal PR) but it's open for the community to grow it to something more.

Yes it will be just 1 map, but we will have WW2 weapons on it which there for makes it a mini mod and not a map

Sounds like this mini mod will be included in the next PR release. I can see how it gets confused easily now. Thanks for all the info.

Err, the darn thing hasn't even been released yet . There are no plans of incorporating it into PR right now.
I consider Project Normandy a small WW2-addon for PR, with "just one map" .

True, true. However, as your looking for tanks now, we'll need a new map xD

Well for the americans, slow movement will get them killed running from the beachhead towards the hills etc..
This is a addon to PR. not just a map nor a whole mod.

If I ever decide to dive into BF2 mapping it'll either be to make an impossibly good Jungle map for PR or a Brecourt Manor map for PR:Normandy.

I'll take this as a smartass assumption. A dumb one as well, if you actually gave the trouble to read and comprehend.
This map is under the name of Project Normandy. AD established at the beginning that this map would be a one thing proof of concept map and it would be up for the community to extend this add-on/mini-mod to something more (like maps, models, factions, etc).
When the discussion arised about this map Normandy being a mod or just a map, I told them that both are right according to AD stated.
As you see, nothing whatsoever about the campaign and how Project Normandy is focused on that.
It's Christmas, I'm sure you have a lot of time to read things thoroughly. This way you can avoid sarcastic replies about how right I am.
