Your frame rate seems super low... but in the window it says you're running @ 30-40fps... not sure what the problem is there...

Just thought about that. Could it be because he runs it in windowed-mode?

I don't experience any difference in framerate if I play windowed or fullscreen mode.

I think teh reason the FPS is low is because of teh capture software.

Just record with MSI Afterburner and you'll have no FPS drop mate.

I am experimenting :) I had a few more tries today. And it is connected to the number of kbs a second. So i need to run at like 30 000 kb/s. or 100 000 for a good fps.

... and reduce video resolution. No need to record shitty bf2 graphics in High Definition ^^

I agree with the above poster (otom24), fraps is the way to go! :)

Afterburner? Nah it can be used with (afaik) all brands. I used it on mine which was certainly not an MSI

I like Xfire, it works for me. The problem when I film myself playing though, is taking care of all the raw footage. I film in 1920x1200, because I want to show how "I" play and make the footage look as good as possible. When I do this, my raw footage is the size of 4 Gb even though its only 3 min long. You have to edit all these clips together, then covert them to the right format, with the right codec. It's so much hassle it's insane! It would be much easier if I would have a internal hard drive over 300 gb, a fast one as well.

Forgotten Hope 2, Lee Enfield Longshots vs BOTS (HD) 1920x1200 - YouTube One of the few good looking footages I've been able to fix.

Xfire or Fraps are the only programs that actually work, the rest of them are either fake, meaning that they say HQ, but in real it's your resolution divided. Or it's really buggy and your raw data is impossible to convert.

Msi afterburner doesnt record sound. And the file is frikkin 2gb after 1 min lawl.

I will use this cause the file sizes in expression are far smaller, and i can encode it after easily. Not to mention that it records sound :)

EDIT: Here is video two!

Much, much better quality (rendered frames)!

To reduce file size I suggest capping the recording fps @ 30fps (or 29.97), as well as playing at the lowest resolution that you'd like the video to be rendered at.

So basically if 720p is good enough for you, I'd play in a window @ 1280x720 resolution, as it will chew through much less disk space at the lower fps & lower resolution.

But yeah, I had 2x500GB disks raided just for fraps dumping. It was nice to never have to care about it, and it cost like... $120 to set up so no real big outlay.

Judging by the videos Wicca is a total newbie in PR

Also, post some real gameplay videos instead of these video recording experimentals
