Few Coding/Mapping PN questions

Hi everyone!

So if the mini-mod was to grow at all, with other players adding maps and such to it, a new map taking place during the Airborne invasion of DDay would be one of the first things to be made.

This IS NOT a suggestion btw, im just wondering a few things i've been thinking about today, and if Rhino or Afterdune or anyone with helpful insights and answers could reply I'd be happy ^^

So, if a map like this was made, my thoughts would be having the U.S. spawn in C-47 skytrains off map, which would hold 8 people. However, my idea would be to have the 8 players all sit in the troop seats while the C-47 flies in a straight path (pre-programed flight, if possible) so as they would not need to worry about flying planes around the map. Also because you could possibly have many going across the sky at the same time without taking up any number of players to do so.

So, here are my few questions:

1) I know it is possible to spawn players in assets, such as FH2's Pointe du Hoc map spawning players in the higgins boats, but is it possible to spawn them inside a plane outside of the map boundries so they have time to prepare before jumping into battle?

2) I also know that it should be possible to make a C-47 (or many) fly across the map in a pre-determined path, also seen in FH2's Pointe du Hoc map. However, is it possible to place these outside of map boundries, as stated above, while also carrying players inside?

I am a C.S. and Eastern Washington University so I will be learning modeling/ game programming and development in the near future, so I was hoping to get some answers now so I may have something to look forward to in the future!

But anyway im going to contribute some stuff hopefully this summer after my 1st class! damnit, gotta admit tho this is a cool idea, and if possible it would kick so much ***...

now excuse me, im going to go play MoH airborne and watch band of brothers ^^

That would be cool to have someone who can do animations for now.
