CAS helicopters going after enemy CAS

Post by Tarranauha200 »

So now I see most CAS heli pilots go after enemy CAS before engaging enemy ground targets. In my opinion this is risky and takes support away from ground troops.

Tell me what are the advantages of this tactic? Why not let AA handle enemy CAS?

How could the AA handle it when you can just strike from where the AA can't lock? Dive from hella far above and shoot at the marker from like 1500m altitude, easy as shit. The only threat really are the enemy CAS

There's nothing I hate more than a CAS-crew wasting 30-40 minutes by looking for the enemy's CAS. Do 'fast in and fast out' attacks, and the opponent's CAS won't have a chance getting you.

CAS is effective at taking out other CAS...

but CAS that is doing nothing for 30mins might as well have just grabbed an AA vehicle in the first place

Attack fast as Saxoni says, if there is a ground laze then there is a good chance you'll do alot of damage, or at the lease you'll suppress the enemy, the infantry will take a 20% effective run over a 100% effective run that never arrives ANY DAY.

if you are really worried about enemy cas, have one heli up high and one heli down low - then you can cover eachother; because there will always be a risk the enemy CAS is hunting you, but you will not get anything done if you let that fear paralyse you.

That and armor squads always complain about you not killing it, because they weren't intelligent enough to bring an AAV.
