[AAR] My squadmate SurgeReaper.

Hello guys!

One week ago I was playing at ]CIA[ 24/7 Kokan and Hookers with a squadmate SurgeReaper. It was the best PR gameplay ever! We were insurgents on Operation Marlin INS and we were driving SPG technical. We destroyed 1 big FOB with mortars, HMGs and TOW which were built in A11 in hills, then we destroyed 1 APC, then another FOB, killed snipers on the roofs and that was great! (Reaper was a gunner, me - leader and driver)

Couple of days after we met when we were playing Fallujah West INS at USMC side at the same server, so I grabbed officer and Reaper was a medic. We killed about 20-25 insurgents as infantry. We had 2 men squad. Our team destroyed 6 caches, but oppfor team was very strong. We gained enough intels about last cache. So I decided to request combat engineer kit and we tried to sneak to known and to destroy the last cache. It was placed in B4-B5 (on the T-crossroad). We went on foot from main, then we started crawling. Suddenly a blue guy with AT4 appeared. And he began to follow us. I told him through local mumble do not to give away our position. Silence was an answer for us. I thought that me and Reaper were doomed, when insurgents began to fire this mad LAT guy. They killed him. After this I had a bad feeling, that insurgents like US AT4. And a bad guy came for his trophy AT4. He was near us in 5-10 meters (we were crawling). The distance to cache was about 100-150 meters. So I jumped from the field, killed the guy. Our location was compromised. I asked Reaper to cover me. He did it well. The last thing I can remember is a crowd of civies fooling near cache and 1 guy with AK. C4 was in my hands. The only weapon was my squadmate. Thank god he killed that bad guy with AK. After that I placed C4 on the wall, ran away and detonated the explosive. We won that round. It was great!

And the next map was Operation Marlin AAS. I created a SpecOps squad, invited Reaper. We were MECs. So we grabbed a jeep from main. Capped the first and the second flag. Then we met a G-Wagon with full squad onboard. They killed us. After that we decided to go onfoot. And it was very cool. We destroyed a FOB in the city between 2 flags, then moved to French mansion. We were silent and very calm. One friendly infantry squad met enemies in mansion and asked for our help. We moved towards them. Reaper helped to revive teammates (he was a medic again). Flag was neutralized. Me and Reaper started moving towards next one flag. We found a FOB there and destroyed it. After mansion's flag was capped by our team capping of the last flag began, as there was me and my squadmate. We won the battle again, because the oppfor team lost all their tickets.

So here are 3 examples how 2 men well organized squad can make pretty nice teamwork in PR! And one more reason why I post it here. I'm looking for Reaper. Tried to search through Xfire, but didn't find exact account. So, SurgeReaper, if you read this please contact me via PM on this forum because I am thinking about creating not a clan but a small team or a squad for some great teamwork in PR.

Meet you on the battlefield at the end of the week!

Stan

Ah, the two man squad. The base of all teamwork. Can do wonders. Silently and quickly.

And welcome to the forums.

An experienced SPG crew can be lethal on insurgency maps, a friend of mine, nAyow simply has a talent for Gunning the SPG. I've seen him headshot enemy snipers with a frag round nearly 700m off without even giving him the range and armor never stands a chance. With that ability it rapidly becomes a super speedy haji tank!

Hitting a guy in the head with a SPG from 700 meters is nothing but luck.

Without knowing the distance, that is.

And one interesting fact that I would like to add to my story. When we were driving SPG at Marlin I created SPG squad (3 a.m. in Moscow). Nobody was going to join it. I began typing in teamchat looking for a gunner. 5 minutes later Reaper joined. He was not able to use mic. But he was doing everything well, as I guided him and was telling range to targets. We were speaking english (I was talking and he was typing in squadchat). 10 or 15 minutes later Reaper wrote in chat: "Are you russian? You can speak russian then". Lol. Mb because of my english emphasis. But I was very glad to know that my squadmate is russian too. Teamplay become much easier then :-)

'Limeni[BiH wrote:;1739478']I just killed a guy on nwa from 950m with an SPG, killed him with the first shot. THe map was op archer. It's not that hard if you know the distance.
No way? Really? Is it easier if you know the distance?

'Limeni[BiH wrote:;1739484']Yes, oh yes it is, it's hard to believe I know but it's kinda logical if you think about it.
No it's not. It's fucking obvious.

Saxoni, do you ask your squadleader the distance whenever you need to throw a grenade somewhere? I don't think so and yet you manage to throw it where you want it to be. How? because with all the time spent throwing grenades you've learned how to figure the distance and how long you have to hold the click for it.

See the analogy with the SPG, why wouldn't it be the same with it?

No, because you throw the grenade ~40 meters, not 700 meters.

You apparently didn't understand what I said. It's for the principle, with the time you get some ease on stuff you've been playing a lot with, like grenade as I said, SPG, jets or whatever. When you're trying to destroy a jet with your canon, you have to compensate according to the distance and the angle when it's turning, I don't think you have a computer dedicated to calculate this to allow you to fire.

Too bad he thinks using properly a SPG is luck then :D

Anyway I agree with what Mouthpiece said, a two-man squad is still pretty pro, giving you much more abilities to do whatever you want. And in this case even more if you eventually speak the same language!
