[Question]A-1H, laser target

Just curious,
As we know, A-1H can not see laser target from HUD, but officer kit of both side can lase the target.
Now, here is the question: If someone "lased" some target and marked it on map.
When the CAS is approching, can it's bomb hit the target which is lased?
I mean, the laser is exist, but you can not see(from the aircraft), and it's effective anyway.

No, they're just dumb bombs. If your pilot is skilled enough, he'll be able to hit the target ;) .

Yeah, It requires skilled pilot.
But to my mind, Smoke can replace the laser.
Rifle grenade can mark the enemy too!! And it will be of great effective!

Yeah, a better way to "mark" the target (even though you can't lock on to it) would be nice.

For closer targets id throw SL smoke on the enemy and then fallback, tell the pilot to bomb the shit out of smoke area.

I've suggested this before, but can't you make a colored smoke being standard for CAS like orange and insert it in a grenadier slot?

We do have signal smoke, but it's officer and sniper only!
Ordinary smoke is fine, and it's effective too. :-D

problem with smoke is that anything out of the VD when dropped, wont see the smoke when coming into view of it.

We could put a laser box on the smoke nade (that you can't lock onto) which would be a little unrealistic, but more realistic than lasing a target as it would just be to get around the smoke bug.

What if instead of smoke grenade code; you make it like the molotov cocktail(spawn something on map instead of having fire come out of the object) and just make it spawn a certain color of smoke instead?

Back in the days the signal smoke was a much thinner smoke and would go high in the sky. It could do the trick for this I reckon. It looked a bit like this;

Why not just have the smoke effect fire in bursts rather in a long continuous stream, so that anyone coming into the area renders the bursts activated when they are in the area.

I figure, just give SL/Sniper 1-2 orange smoke for target designation, 1-2 purple smoke for marking LZs as far as smoke goes.

Is it possible to make the smokes work like a rifle, having 3 fire modes, only colors instead of fire modes? Orange, purple, and white smoke?

I don't think that this is possible, but maybe select color of smoke by pressing Q and selecting correct one?
