[Map] Operation Ghost Train [released]

Here is the map I've been working on for the last 5 odd months on and off
UK vs China
Game play is mainly jungle combat with really only light and heavy jeeps to get around the map. + a boat in the middle of nowhere. This map is mainly about stealth, flanking and getting behind the enemy lines as a squad, then shooting/knifing the enemy in the back when they are not expecting it
This map will be in v0.4 of the Project Reality Mod that is going to be released today (11/11/06) so make sure you guys download it and check it out!
Briefing:
As British forces push deeper into Chinese held territory, they run into stiff resistance in this dense region of jungle. Intelligence reports suggest the train line, which snakes through the area, is being used to ferry supplies and reinforcements to the front lines, thus making it an important strategic target.
PLA troops are deployed to defend the region at all costs, using a series of pill boxes and bunkers, as well as the natural terrain, as their defensive positions, it what will prove to be a tough fight for both sides.

the steel train bridge is destructible but the chines ppl who made the small rope bridge made it out of this SciFi rope and wood that made it indestructible
EDIT: and yes, there are 2 tanks, 1 AAV and 2 jeeps on that train, but they are locked up. They are there at the moment for show only but in the future will have a propose, same for the arty cannons, they are only for show at the moment as well.

would require a animation probably unless the bridge was to just vanish in a cloud of dust when you destroy it and our new animator is hard at work with other more important things at the mo hehe.
Wouldn't be very important to blow it any ways cos u could just swim but it would take slightly longer.

Did you take the idea for this map from Bridge over River Qwai? It seems very familiar.
Looks sweet, but I wish there were more of those spikes or boxes or something for cover on the bridge.

The idea only really started off with just me thinking, "there is not fecking train bridge in vBF2".
I acturly only saw the movie "Bridge over River Qwai" after i had allready started it as it was on TV one day when i turned it on hehe.
the hedgehogs are on the bridge really to stop jeeps speding at full speed over the bridge and a little cover. The bridge is ment to be a "death trap" as such hehe.

Is it destructable in spots or just one big chunk? I would love to see it be blown and people fall down into the river below to their death.

same as a vBF2 bridge, you can blow sections of it.

the hedge hogs are above the bridge supports, where the bridge can not be desotryed.

Now this is more like how the Chinese fight. In the jungle, with stealth. And maybe some Shaoling.
Some questions though, is there an easy way of aligning "glowshits" with objects? Because in the picture of that room, it looks like you either spent hours aligning those things or cheated. I like the trench objects, this does address the BF2 terrain issue.

the rails are part of the bridge, they get destroyed when the bridge dose.
with the glow sights, I think what i did was align 1, then worked out how far apart each light was, think was around 5ms? then just crated the same light, but offseted it 5m away from the other, then just pasted thous 2 onot the next 2, and the next 2 onto the end 2, then deleted one to make it look like the buble was broken
didnt take me 20mins tops?
I spent most of that time checking out each glow light i thinks hehe.

Ah, ok. For my street lights, it's going to take forever because I don't know how far each one is from another. My road is on a slant, and I didn't know that until I saw the minimap, so I guess that's a lesson learned.
