its not a bug, but i think the m1 carbine has too much recoil...
its fires a 30cal which in some cases is a pistol round, and ingame it has the same recoil as the garand that fires a much larger round...thats kinda weird..

Just tried out the night drop version of overlord on a local server (not an ai local, like local just me :P ) and I saw a few things that may or not be bugs.

1) Mortar bunkers has lines that look like shadows on the terrain, possibly where the underground tunnels are? not sure.
AD: No new lightmaps have been done yet, so you still see the old shadows

2) If you are in the chinook/skytrain in the front seat and look left, you see a body outside the cockpit also looking right....kinda creepy o.0
AD: That guy is supposed to be the pilot, but doesn't show correctly when you're in the C47 I guess.

3) I keep dying every time I jump out of the skytrain. I tried deploying my chute and not deploying my chute after jumping, as well as trying different planes, but I kept dying, is this just me?
AD: That's because you don't have the Python files, so can't run on local properly.

Love the map so far tho :D

Also, e7k9 near the box-like bunker, the dirt road spline is lifted up from the terrain.

The black lines you see is the shadows of the old bunker complex. The maps are not fully lightmapped yet.

The thing that was killing you when jumping out is fixed on AD servers. Python related.

K98 needs more recoil
M1 Carbine less recoil
M1 Garand needs better ironsights

Keep posting bugs please.

i don't know how much you guys know in bugs, maybe you could you post a list of known bugs and "to-fix stuff"?

anyway i didn't get time for much testing but..i will also post "to fix stuff"
-thompson 30round? not sure about this since 30mags were available but what was issued in normandy is hard to know..well i haven't looked it up lol
-garand grenadier sights has the old 2d sights

-out of nowhere rally point? (it's on the hill 819 flag)
AD: It's a US spawnpoint, that should disappear after 5 minutes. But it's not working properly now.

-wehrmacht flag awfully low res..

Bugs I noticed

- Dying sometimes when too many people jump out of plane at the same time
AD: Don't think we can really fix that. It's annoying, but pretty realistic :p

- Weird skybox issues when parachuting and looking at the sides of the map
AD: Yeah, looks a bit odd. Noted.

- Thompson model jutters when you run with it, doesn't look smooth, jerky
AD: Thanks for reporting.

- On overlord, the small bunker at easy point that is on the north side is extremely difficult to get inside
AD: Noted. We'll have a look.

- On multiple occasions pressing 9 didn't bring up my patch. I had to manually select it from the list. Not sure if that is just my end
AD: On the para-layer, 9 is your chute. Patches are on 8 :)

The 9 key is for the parachute, so that's why it isn't working with US paras.

Tested on a local serve- everytime I tried to jump out of a skytrain I die.
Anyone else?
AD: Python related. Clients don't have the Python files (yet).

I was in a Tank cant remember what one but it was british. The main gun hud only shows the amount of ammo not the ammo being used. Was switching between diff ammo types and only ammo amount counter shows
AD: We're limited to what we can use for HUDs. This is about the only one we can use. The text is incorrect, but does show you what you need to know: how many ammo you got. Sorry, we can't make it look much prettier.

On the map road to St-Lo, you have sometimes black textures..
Some walls or house just get black
AD: This map only had a very low quality lightmap, so you get weird black spots. Also the lighting wasn't final, so you get very dark houses. This should be fixed in the final version.

I made a small testing session today and find some bugs:

1.grenades stick to roof in bunker(Bloody Gulch, command bunker, US main)

2.MG at Bridge is placed too high, so if you are unscope you have eyes inside wall

3.You can see AT and AA gun on minimap

4.US soldier can enter AT gun in German main, but Germsns can't.

When you reloading German K98 bullet you putting in weapon texture is little fucked up.
