TART Season 3 - The Return of the War.

TART 3
This campaign of TART will change a lot. The commanders are no longer incharge of running the tournament as they were in the previous TART campaigns. The lead role is filled by Wicca: with great help from L4gi as the General Administrator, Raic as the media manager, Bonsai as an advisor on Tournament matters and Semtex as Website technician.

Commanders
As we are looking for new commanders, we need you to sign up! The Commander signups will begin today, on the 1st of August, and will be closed after 4 Commanders have been selected. The Admins will review each signup, and will consider each commanders abilities individually. Each aspiring CO should also prepare for an interview.

To signup as a Commander post a thread in this forum: Admin Contact - TART

Fill out the Application with the following Information:
Nick:
Age:
Previous experience:
What do you plan to bring with you into this tournament:
How will you ensure the games will be enjoyable for boths sides:
Anything you wish to add?:
A proper answer to all questions will make it easier for us distinguish the serious commanders from the rest. Please ensure you also have some people ready to join with you when you sign up as that is also one of the deciding factors.

For additional a list of other tournament positions and requirements check this:
TART - Chain of Command

Teams
There will be two teams, each with two companies in them. As such each team will have one Supreme Commander, and one Commander. Each Commander will have a Second in Command. How the Commanders organize their teams after that is up to them.

Battles
64 players will be maximum number of players we will have on a server. Due to the limitations and experience we had with the 128 player battles, we found it best to revert back to the old ways until the Developers have made a version they are happy with.

Grunts and Squadleaders
If you are interested in joining this tournament but dont want to be a commander; Dont panic!
You can still register at our forum on www.tartournament.com and wait for the announcement of opening grunt and SL signups. Usually the Commanders invite squadleaders to their team, but an open SL signup is also a good way for a commander to find the right people for his team.

Regards,
The Managment

Admin Restructure & Close Future

Hello all future Tarties.

We are going trough some changes in the administration. First, Wicca is resigning from all Administrative duties. He will remain in the Management and will still be able to affect decisions with compelling arguments, as if. Secondly, I will be placed in position of lead admin in Wiccas place. How does this affect the plans we've had? Not much, I expect. I am not going to be doing much changes towards what has been decided and will continue to keep Commanders close in the decision making. There are few changes coming to the Tournament, but more of that later.

Now, as far as starting the Tournament and getting people signed up, I would be happy to begin immediately, but we are still missing some vital personnel. We still have not gotten enough applicants to fill two teams with Second-in-Command and GSO or two. We will however soon open Officer signups and if willing applicants have still not appeared, we will take some from there. We do offer our full support on organizing and managing the teams so, not to worry, the work will not be enormous.

We will be announcing how and when signups are and give some explanations on the Tournament organization Monday.

Lead Administrator
Raic

The Signups:
At this very moment the Signups for Officers are open and anyone who wishes to join the Tournament to lead a squad or take General Officer position must apply now.
Remember to read the information threads before applying, as you are to follow them and meet the time requirements.

'Apply'

Structure:
This time around we will have two completely new teams for you to build and train. We will begin at square one, each Squadleader must be ready to train players to highest standard. Every Grunt and Officer must be prepared to keep close eye on the enemy and learn their tactics and work together as a team to fix possible problems within you own.

Those of you who are more experienced, teach the younglings all your tricks.

Communications will be vital for the survival of the Teams as well as the Tournament. Keep Officers and Administrators informed of any problems, even the smallest ones, so we can really build the special Tournament experience we all want.

Commanders:
Image
Oskar will be in charge of Hearts and WebCole is Commanding the Spades with little help from Wicca. What these teams are and will be, is up to you. They are new and without an image, until you create one.

The timetable:
We are following a tight as possible timetable with adjustable end. Grunt signups will open, alongside Officer signups if need be, on 24th. First battlecycle will begin first next Monday we hit minimum crew for both teams. Tell all your friends to hop aboard and we will start before the Moon is full.

Raic.

Join my squad as an NCO? Maybe you can be SL later. And you get to be a grunt.

Hearts?

I've always longed to be a queen!

I think we already have the anthem for our team.

I don't have neither time nor the interest to play with such a commitment you are looking for. Sorry

It looks better than before (way better), now everything is like it should be BUT it seems people are scared from past and afraid from something that is proven to be working :P

People are hesitant to apply for a SL since it is more pressure than being a regular grunt plus you need some previous experience with squad leading and overall PR experience (Actually you don't, but I don't think there is a lot of people doing it without it).
That or there is some language barrier and they don't want to squad lead with their thick easter european accent like me :-) .

Also, Cossack reserve me a slot in Iron Wolves (if there will be any) :-) .
