4th Special Forces Group (4SFG) - MilSim Unit

Do you have the mind set to handle Teamwork and Tactics?

Can you maintain Discipline and Respect?

Do you think you have what it takes?

Then the 4th Special Forces Group is exactly what you are looking for. We are not a realism unit. We are a Military Simulation Unit. Our training system is ran and taught by actual Combat Veterans that have served in the military at home and overseas. Not only do we have U.S. Vets, we also have U.K. Vets and other Vets from across the World. We also have currently serving members of the military.

Our unit currently has 4 sections, however we are all part of 4th SFG. Each performs a certain task that works in unison with the other sections. These Include:

75th Rangers
Our primary Infantry section. Offering the largest variety of roles from Infantry, Medical, Department Shops (S1 - S5), Radio Operators, and Combat Engineers.

1st Royal Regiment of Fusiliers
The 1RRF is a Platoon within the 4th SFG, designed and formed for British Players and European members and is run by ex British Army members. We have our own set training times that can be adjusted by our enlisted personal and NCO's.

160th SOAR
Rotary Wing Assets used for transport of troops, equipment, and Close Air Support. Also, features Fixed Wing Assets for Close Air Support and Troop Insertions.

SFOD-A/B
Special Forces Detachment: Open to SGTs (E-5) and above. Providing Asset and Strategic Demolition, Intelligence and Recon, and HVT Neutralization and Extraction.

A Few of Our Many Features:

Veteran's Program:
We give back to our Veterans for their sacrifices to their countries. We check a sanitized DD-214 for entry into the Veteran's Program. After completion of Basic Combat Training, Veterans will be implemented into the unit as a Specialist (E-4).

Veteran's Experience:
As mentioned earlier, the 4th Special Forces Group has many Veterans/Active Duty among the ranks, who contribute from their personal experience towards Trainings, Tactics, Discipline and other Attributes. This makes the unit the creditable MilSim unit that it is today.

A Sponsored Unit:
The 4th Special Forces Group is Sponsored by GamersPlatoon: “GamersPlatoon is a gaming community made for gamers, by gamers. We have fun, form new friendships and enjoy our gaming time.”

The 4th Special Forces Group:
Requirements for Applicants are as follows:

The following rules and regulations are in effect at all times. These rules are not flexible or negotiable in any way. 4th SFG members are required to abide by all rules and regulations at all times. Failure to do so will result in disciplinary action, up to and including dishonorable discharge from the unit.

1. Real life comes first. Many of our members are parents, have jobs, and in some cases serve in the military on active duty. Real life will always take precedence over gaming or unit business. We will tolerate no disrespect towards a member that has to stop what they are doing to attend to real world matters.

2. Discipline and professionalism is required at all times. This is required on all 4th SFG servers as well as in any other server, public or otherwise.

3. All members are required to maintain proper rank discipline at all times, in all forms of communication. This courtesy will also be extended to members of allied clans.

4. Insubordination and disrespect are not tolerated in any way, shape, or form, regardless of the situation. All members are required to conduct themselves in a professional and disciplined manner at all times, in all forms of communication.

5. While participating in a match in game, regardless of the situation, all members will maintain a professional and disciplined demeanor. It does not matter if an opposing player is cheating, hacking, or behaving in a rude or disrespectful manner. Our soldiers will not stoop to their level.

6. Dishonest game play is completely unacceptable, and will result in an immediate dishonorable discharge, as well as a ban from all 4th SFG servers. Dishonest game play includes, but is not limited to hacking, ghosting, comms ghosting, glitching, or abuse of any other game mechanic for personal gain. We have zero tolerance for dishonesty from our members and on our servers.

7. While in game, all members will refrain from unprofessional communications of all varieties. If there is an issue, the highest ranking NCO or Officer present will handle that issue. Under no circumstances will a 4th SFG member participate in an argument in game chat. If the situation can not be resolved peacefully by the OIC or NCOIC, all 4th SFG members will exit the server in question in a quiet and professional manner.

8. You are required to have the following programs installed: Arma2 and Arma 2: Operation Arrowhead or Arma 2: Combined Operations. We use both Teamspeak 3, and six updater. If you have any issues finding or installing these programs please contact the staff, or the S4 department, and we will provide assistance.

9. We require a minimum age of 16 for membership in the 4th Special Forces Group. We do not discriminate on the basis of gender, nationality, ethnicity, religious preference, or any other criteria, and will not tolerate any type of discrimination from our members.

We are more than a unit, We are a brotherhood. If you think you have what it takes to be apart of a MilSim Unit, then check us out at: http://www.4thspecialforces.com/

Look for an "S1" team member on our TeamSpeak and ask for more information.

its great to be back, keep your eyes peeled guys, Teamspeak licence has just been upgraded, and unless the PR devs are mean(hint. cookies are available to expedite this application) and don't give us a licence, we'll have our 24/7 BF2PR server up within a few days.

You don't have to bump it every day you know. People know you are out there, and at least I see it as common courtesy not to bump your own thread each and every day for the sake of bumping.

Hi!

I'm totally new too PR and I'm still learning, but I have noticed that my military experience is useful in some situations. (Mind you that I have only played in Co-op mode with bots who wont obey my orders :/)

I'm 30 years old, currently on disability pension due to injuries sustained in action in Afghanistan 2010.
Served in the Swedish armed forces on and off since 2001, saw action in Kosovo, Liberia, Congo, Afghanistan, Macedonia, among others.
in january 2011 I got an Honourable Discharge on my request. Due too my injuries they wouldn't let me parachute anymore and I figured SF or nothing. I Didn't want to go back to a regular Ranger batallion again so I handed in my papers.

At the moment I'm trying to master helicopter flying in PR and that's what I like best.
I may be interested in joining you in the future if you'll have me.
still having problems with the controls ''on foot'' moving on an actual battlefield is very differnent.
lack of peripheral vision is a huge drawback among others...but I hope to learn not too move around like an idiot in the near future...I played CoD once and that was really wierd..I have (luckily) never in real life seen an insurgent jump up and down repetedly towards me while I empty a full clip towards him only to have him stab me or hit me with the M203...

If needed I can scan my military documents, medals and awards.

May the Special Forces be with you!

Thanks!
I will install Xfire and TS as soon as I get a proper internet connection.
at the moment I don't have a home since my girlfriend got tired of my PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Dissorder). I will move into my old appartment again in january and build a proper ''cockpit'' with flight controls.
By then I should be able to retrive my service records as well.
Cheers!

I have seen you guys play and are very well coordinated. Do you guys have a server and where is it located? I only see 3 servers that ever have any pub players with decent ping for me. And I live in North America.
