Training Day - Player Trainings

Post by L4gi »

Do you feel like you could brush up your skills? New to the game; want to learn the ropes? Tired of getting rolled? Cant find anyone to show you how its done?

Well now it's your lucky day! Our experienced crew and revolutionary approach will make sure you have both fun and actually get something done! Participants will be incorporated in squads consisting of an experienced squad leader, and 3-4 experienced squad members. Depending on the amount of sign-ups and a few other factors, our "training" environment will consist of 1-2 participants and 4-5 experienced players in a squad(6 players total). This will allow for a more hands-on approach when it comes to learning how things work. Playing will take place on various public servers, and if a good opportunity comes up in events.

You will be able to learn how to use different kits, from mowing down people with the machinegun to firing huge rockets at scary vehicles. Initial trainings will be set up exclusively for infantry action. The backbone of PR, and the most under-appreciated form of playing; find out that even with a casual approach you can take control of the battlefield! The squad leader will be there to give you hands-on instructions when it comes to movement, engagement and other important factors. See how good medics, auto riflemen and grenadiers work. See what taking a few seconds time to think about what you do change the outcome of battle. Its not hard, if you dont make it hard. Why do it the hard way when theres the easy way?

Requirements for participation:
- Working microphone
- Knowledge of english(no problems communicating with others)
- Open-minded attitude
- Decent computer(so you dont have 5 fps or CTD every 2 minutes)
- Mumble and Teamspeak 3

Players wishing to participate in this "training" must follow these instructions:
1. Make an account on [OD-S] Forums
2. Read THIS
3. Post a thread HERE and follow the instructions in nr. 2

Once you have posted, we will contact you an schedule a time suitable for both parties.

NOTE: Due to certain issues, we might not be able to accomodate your timezone perfectly. Gaming sessions will last for multiple hours, so make sure you dont have to leave in the middle of a round.

DISCLAIMER: We can not guarantee that you will become the best player after one go. Learning what to do and how things work takes time. You will however see a difference in what you do as long as you are willing to keep your eyes open and soak up everything we throw at you.

This is a great idea!

Furthermore I am always willing to help a noob figure out the game. I wish the people with questions would join my squad and ask. I learned most of what I know from asking veteran players, reading the forums/manual, and haveing a general intrest.

My in-game alias is Snake425. I don't claim to be an expert, but nothing pisses me off more than when I'm in a squad and someone asks a question, and my SL says something like "DAMN IT, READ THE MAUAL." or " Jeeze, another noob." I just wanna say STFU SL, you were new too once.... @ss.....

Just to clarify: this is also for people who want to get better in PR but have played for several years/months?

I mean you, for me personally there is never been a moment when i've though about "i know enough already, don't need to learn anything more"

I'll join only if L4gi uses the "Mah ........" frase , in Denzel's, voice to "congratulate" the participants on job well done.
