Win8 and PRv1.0

Hey guys,

I recently got myself a new gaming lap top and I have now installed the lates PR v.1.0
Everything installed and confirmed to be ok.

But,, when launching the game I first can see the first screen (shown during launch), and I'm also able to choose a server, but when the actual game is supposed to launch I get CTD. (crash to desktop).
Does anyone know if there are any specific settings that I should do first? Does the game work with Win8?

Hiya,

In general, I suggest updating to Windows 8.1 .

Specific to PR, you want to start PR in windowed mode, so when the game does the CTD it will create a popup window with the error message. With that error message, we can narrow down the problem.

1. Open PRLAuncher
2. Click Options
3. Click Video Tab if it is not open by default,
4. Lower the resolution to something smaller than your fullscreen resolution
5. UNCHECK the FullScreen tickbox
6. Click Apply

Then run PR, and get the error message. Either screencap or write down the error msg and post it here.

I took your advice and installed Win8.1 as a first step, which solved the problem. So now I'm online.
