Right I'll shorten the story. Power cut out a second, now my PC doesn't detect the network adapter. Router is fine, I've narrowed it down to the culprit being my onboard network port. I've reinstalled the drivers, did the BIOS diagnostic check and even tried a registry fix with winsockfix. Nothing worked, now I'm left with either doing a CMOS reboot on my mobo and/or buy an external NIC card.
My main question is, can the port be fried even though the port lights are still lighting up?
Edit: Wow the freaking reboot did it, I hate when software goes corrupt on BIOS level, thread can be closed.
